"Mr. Bush said. "President Reagan went to Normandy and gave those great speeches. When he came back, I asked him, 'How did you ever get through those speeches without breaking up?' He said, "Here's what you do. You write it out yourself, and then you say it over and over again. And by doing that, it is still personal the way you say it, but you don't feel that you are apt to choke up.' "
Now, that's a professional actor speaking! Very good, actual advice for anyone tasked with such a job. I will remember this if I ever need to give some important eulogy or anything like that.
God bless you, President Reagan. Rest in His eternal peace.
Amen, my friend.
I'm bookmarking almost all the articles.
Did you have flash backs to another funeral? I did...I remember being scared with that one. This time, I'm saddened.
This is something my Brad needs to watch, don'tcha think? He's hoping that his teacher has taped the events on Saturday to show to his class tomorrow.
It would be wonderful if someone could archive all of the Reagan articles since his passing until his internment and link them together in some sort of master archive.
Sadly, I am much too incompetent in these sort of matters to volunteer for the job.
