Hermes Drones Almost Ready for Border Patrol Service
San Diego Union Tribunel ^ | 06-05-2004 | Associated Press

Concentrated mostly along a 220-mile western stretch of border that includes an Indian reservation, a wildlife refuges and a military range, the drones are only the latest hardware in the patrol's technological toolbox - which includes tower-mounted cameras, ground sensors, night-vision goggles and portable lifts that let agents view down lines of highway traffic. The hope is the drones can help stem a surge in illegal immigration that a buildup of border agents hasn't stopped.

Hermes

The remotely piloted Hermes 450 craft, which can stay aloft for 20 hours at a time will carry cameras with thermal and night vision capabilities that can detect movement 15 miles away. The aircraft will be able to read a license plate, view a vehicle's occupants, even detect weapons.

Tucson attorney Isabel Garcia, co-chairwoman of the human rights organization Derechos Humanos, said their use will be another step toward fully militarizing the border and away from the law barring use of the military to enforce civil law.

"Everything they have done so far has created chaos, instability, death and insecurity rather than security," Garcia said.

Our politicians are famous for spending money to appear as if they are doing something about a problem when they know the results will have no effect whatsoever about the problem.

Lying and acting are their top skills. Patriotism isn't in their character. The Oath of Office was just something they mumbled with no intention of ever obeying.

"It's during times like this that I wish we had another Ike in the White House."

We all know beyond a shadow of doubt that if our government had you and me - the bona fide citizens - of this country's best interests at heart, they could as early as tomorrow put troops on our border (what the National Guard was created for) and physically block their entrance.

Those blocking actions would also immediately deny American business the literally billions of dollars a year in increased revenue each year by using cheaper labor (and thus increasing their profit for products produced by said labor), but also deny Mexico from what is factually known to be it's *SECOND LARGEST SOURCE OF REVENUE* after native oil production - namely the influx of money from the United States earned by the same said migrant work force.

We know it is happening. And both governments knows we know it is happening. An agreement has been made at the highest echelons of both our's and Mexico's (and probably Canada's and most South American nations) that this *RECIPROCAL* and unofficial agreement will be allowed to continue on until or unless the people of the United States became so resistant to it the practice would no longer be tolerated.

But by the sheer volumes of migrants already here and being permitted to flood in by reason of planned inaction on the part of either government, it is quickly becoming physically and politically impossible for such an uprising to occur without extreme risk and mortal peril on the part of those in opposition to said invasion.

The result of all this will be the intentional and eventual melding of Mexico to the United States and the United States no longer existing as an entity in and of itself and apart from Mexico.

These things are evident to all of us and these "pandering" motions put forth by the government which *appear* to be holding back the invasion are nothing more than eyewash serving only to buy more time to allow the eventual outcome we see shaping into reality with each passing month and year.

What other logical conclusion is there?

Care to give me some more details on your "raking"?

"Our politicians are famous for spending money to appear as if they are doing something about a problem when they know the results will have no effect whatsoever about the problem."

And why is this? Simple - money and wealth of huge proportions are being exchanged at such frequency and by so many (the benefactors are in every state in the nation - especially in large cities where voting density is critical to reelection success) that the monetary and political risks far, far outweight the risks (of an uprising against such practices).

Some would even call this a crime.

Most men and nations die lying down. President Bush will become known in history for his inaction to defend American sovereignty but he will be a hero for allowing the New World Order to take place in North America without a shot being fired.

His patriotism is for the United Nations Charter, not the US Constitution.

The sad part, in my mind, is that he has a strong backing of misguided Republicans who are assisting him in this socialistic action.

I'm not expecting anything like the Tea Party to take place.

Lt. Col. James "Bo" Gritz (Ret)said: A spider web of 'patriots for profit', operating from the highest positions of special trust and confidence, have successfully circumvented our constitutional system in pursuit of a New World Order.

Methinks Lt.Col. Gritz has seen the "other side of the coin."

It's not a good feeling knowing your country has been sold out for profit.
