In Memory of President Ronald Reagan.
For all the good that you have done for this country, for all the love, and dedication, for your unwavering pursuit of Freedom and Democracy, for your constant and relentless attack of communism and liberalism, for believing in the American spirit and the American people, for inspiring us to dream and hope for a better tomorrow, and for your measureless love of God, President Reagan we would like to humbly thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
We will always remember your legacy, your courage, and your vision!
We will always remember your passion, kindness, and gentleness!
We will never forget your love for this country and its people!
Your presidency and life will remain a bright and remarkable example of true patriotism and leadership for future generations. You secured freedom and brought hope to all Americans, and restored freedom and destroyed the communist tyranny in most of the world. Your spirit and vision for America will NEVER be forgotten and you will ALWAYS be in our hearts and prayers.
Memory Eternal.

Wonderful. Thank you. I too am "proud to be an American."
It's interesting how many people remember Ronald Reagan's speach at Normandy twenty years ago today, but nobody gives a damn for the one Clinton gave ten years ago. The fact that Ronald Reagan died on the eve of the sixtieth anniversary of the invasion of Normandy will forever link him with the speach he made there in 1984.
Thanks heaps, ezfindit! Until your post, I had no idea there was a conservative Orthodox website. As someone contemplating converting, the apparent political leanings of the Church have been of some concern to me. (Not that it should matter, I know, but I was a conservative first, and I can't help seeing through that prism. Especially as regards Israel. Any random thoughts you might have on this would be welcome.)
MarMema or FormerLib, as two of the apparent keepers of the Orthodox ping list, could one of you perhaps do something with this?
You're most welcome. There are many Orthodox who are conservative and our numbers are constantly growing. Thanks you for your kind words, and you are more than welcome to visit the www.OrthodoxNet.com site for a breath of fresh air.
God bless!
Another new Orthodox freeper, it seems. Welcome to FR. Thanks for the post.
my usual second round
Thanks so much for the ping! A lovely tribute for a great man.

He is perhaps, a theologian in the Orthodox sense of the word. We are fortunate indeed that he shares his wisdom with us. I am particularly fond of several of his posts to an Orthodox mailing list, and the incredible Martyrdom of Terri Schiavo piece.
Thank you. Glad to be here bringing some much needed strength to the right side of the debate. :)
You are 100% correct. Fr. Jacobse is an incredible man and priest. He has the vision, courage, and passion to bring some much needed proper perspective on our Orthodox faith. His work is vital to a strong future for Orthodoxy. I wish there were 100 more men like him!
Thanks for your thoughts. We are in full agreement!
Thanks for the magnificient image. I added it to the tribute page since it has so much significance. Simply marvelous!
You know, ezfindit, I made that pic days ago and it still makes me cry when I see it. Thanks for putting on the tribute page; I've been reading posts so much I forgot!
