Orthodox net is a great site, because, I believe, Fr. Jacobse is a brilliant, brilliant man. If that is incorrect phrasing, then please re-word for me. What I mean to say is that some of what he has written has struck me in the way that you rarely read things - a way with the words that opens your mind to an entire picture, or brings you to a completely new understanding of a concept. He has a gift for writing that far exceeds the general writing population.

He is perhaps, a theologian in the Orthodox sense of the word. We are fortunate indeed that he shares his wisdom with us. I am particularly fond of several of his posts to an Orthodox mailing list, and the incredible Martyrdom of Terri Schiavo piece.

You are 100% correct. Fr. Jacobse is an incredible man and priest. He has the vision, courage, and passion to bring some much needed proper perspective on our Orthodox faith. His work is vital to a strong future for Orthodoxy. I wish there were 100 more men like him!
