1) Line up a bunch of liberal suckers to finance the network
2) Bring aboard high profile liberal idiots to create controversy
3) Rely on liberal media outlets to stir up hype and free press
4) Ruthlessly loot and pillage the 40 million dollar cache saved up to finance operations, even to the point of denying employees thier payroll
5) Get more liberal suckers to finance operations
6) Shut down "Err America", claim it is due to ruthless, evil conservative conspiracies and competition
7) Scream and demand that the "fairness doctrine" is implemented to ensure that liberal propaganda gets a "fair chance" to be aired so that evil conservatives cannot monopolize airwaves
1. Raise far more start-up capital than you need.
2. Produce the worst-possible product, guaranteed to anger and disgust any potential customers.
3. Loot the company safe and flee to Tahiti.
The only difference between "Air America" and "Springtime for Hitler" is that "Springtime for Hitler" surprised everybody by turning out to be entertaining.
How can you spend (lose) 40 millions of dollars in only two months - if you are NOT paying salaries to the staff and workers, and have only three of four radio markets?
For 10 million a month, you can falt out BUY 24 hours a day/7 days a week radio time in more markets than that! (Of course, the liberals already have 24 hours a day of ABBCNNBCBS news, so they don't need more in a market that their (illerate voters) listeners already ignore.)

Not to suggest this...but could it be that the management wasn't exactly left-leaning, and simply took the money and soaked up everyone as much as possible...to let this Titanic sink quickly under the waves? With the bucket of money they had, and this being an election year...these guys should have been in a much better position. Its almost like they wanted to fail or simply were too stupid to make a success out of it.
