Isn't it a bit odd how few polls the media has been trumpeting lately ... ?

Man, you have just hit on the best meta-poll there is. Simply track the number published and use it as an inverse measure of Republican popularity.

*"There are 21 weeks left until Election Day"

Yes, and the media will try to make each one worse than the last for Mr. Bush.*

I am CONFIDENT that the first time Kerry has to debate Dubya "man"-to-man, the election will be OVER. Pres. Bush will MOP the floor with Frenchie Fuquay...

I like him too. His writings are factual, straight forward and to the point. I love the FReeper site and enjoy getting new perspectives on current issues plus introspect into things I honestly don't understand.

Keeping it Short and Simple works for me.

Just saw this on www.realclearpolitics.com

I have been saying since 5/1/04 that iraq is getting better, the economy is humming, jfreakingqerry is a terrible campaigner and W is going to win 40 states. I might be off by a few, he might win more:)

great article.

Factual? I don't know about that.

Powell has been sulking in his tent since the CIA misled him into telling the UN that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Now that the world knows that it was outgoing CIA chief George (Slam Dunk) Tenet who was at fault, Powell is once more a willing - and prestigious - Republican warrior.

Iraq did have WMD - now there is absolutely no doubt about it.

"the story of the death of Ronald Reagan will take the wind out of the sales of Bill Clinton's new book"

Knowing how classless the Clintons are, they'll probably both be selling autographed copies of their books at the funeral.

"The Iraqis themselves are asking for a continued American military presence. Not only that, they are taking Bush's case to the UN for him. "

amazing.

I agree it will be a one-sided debate. However, Bush's speeches of late haven't had the pizazz of his earlier speeches. They resemble a school boy reading a paper he really doesn't want to read.

Zev Chafet's article was written before Reagan's passing. I betcha Americans can't help but compare the President to his beloved predecessor. He can only benefit and I do not mean politically. I mean just in the sense when people can see that he is a man and that this makes him greater than just being looked at as a politician. One day President Bush too will have that kind of respect.

Only if I receive .0001% royalty on every bumper sticker you distribute. If you distrubute over 10 million, I'll wave my cut. :)

Add to that the reminder of our President Reagan and how he was slaughtered by the media, scorned by the europeans, hated by the American elitists as he freed the world of communism. I think America will suddenly recognize what is going on with the media, the europeans, and their treatment of President Bush.

From time to time they will. But repeatedly the people will make their opinions consistent with what they perceive as prevailing. We must continue to ensure that we spare no effort to mold that "prevailing" opinion.
