Bush not changing his schedule

Washington, DC, Jun. 5 (UPI) -- President George W. Bush will attend former President Ronald Reagan's funeral but there will be no change in his current European tour schedule.

A report distributed by the press corps accompanying Bush on his European tour said the president may attend the D-Day ceremonies in France and the G-8 conference in Sea Island, Georgia, next week as scheduled.

One of the finest speeches that I ever heard was Reagan's speech at the 40th anniversary of D-Day. Reagan would not want Bush to skip the 60th.

Perhaps I'm a little naive in saying this but I can't help but think that the "Gipper" bowed out before the D-Day anniversary. Being the man he was, he wouldn't have wanted any attention taken away from this anniversary.

Presidnet Bush has lots on his plate. I am sure everything will be scheduled accordingly.

I was just thinking along those lines myself! I would imagine that RR is proud of him, and the grit he shows the nation; and others. He would want him to go on doing his job as a leader, and go on helping struggling nations toward liberty!
