Don't allow the media to spin Reagans death as they did his life. Go to the FR Reagan Vigils post and pledge to organize or attend a vigil in your area.

To think that Reagan wrote and released this book while in office gives me even greater respect for the man. Today, our politicians release books about their dog/cat/village so as not to offend.

I was thinking about Reagan today like so many other Americans. I had almost forgotten one of his best qualities - the WAY he stood up to the left, persistently nd unabashedly. He challenged them in everything he said and did like NONE before him or since. That quality is evidenced in this speech. It is what I have missed about him most of all.

Thanks for posting this. I am looking at the hardcover copy of Abortion and the Conscience of America that I keep on my bookshelf. I have had it since 1984.

Ronald Reagan's legacy lives on in the efforts of millions of dedicated pro-life activists, who continue the fight against the 'culture of death' at every turn.

Jeremiah Denton was a noble man; it's unfortunate that he's no longer serving in the United States Senate, just as it's regrettable that men like Senator Al D'Amato, Jesse Helms and Larry Pressler are no longer leading the charge against demonic golems like Barbara Boxer on the floor of the senate.

Thankfully, we still enjoy the services of John Ashcroft, who should be an example to every pro-life politician in the country. Hopefully, the DOJ will continue to pursue the pro-life objectives established by Pres. Bush and AG Ashcroft, once he has left the Justice Department.

If you want a brilliant dissection and utter refutation of the work of 'scholars' like Peter Singer, pick up a book written by Wesley Smith.

Aside from being an insightful columnist for NRO, Smith is also one of the foremost advocates for the protection of unborn children, those who are mentally or physically handicapped and the vulnerable elderly of our nation.

Ronald Reagan knew and was not afraid or unwilling to speak directly on the matter. God bless and rest that great man.
