Thank you for the site. It is important that everywhere in the US we show our respect for this great president. I hope there will be a gathering at the Bush Library in College Station, TX since I think that would be very appropriate.

"We who live in free market societies believe that growth, prosperity and ultimately human fulfillment, are created from the bottom up, not the government down. Only when the human spirit is allowed to invent and create, only when individuals are given a personal stake in deciding economic policies and benefiting from their success -- only then can societies remain economically alive, dynamic, progressive, and free. Trust the people. This is the one irrefutable lesson of the entire postwar period contradicting the notion that rigid government controls are essential to economic development."

From the Reagan Library site:
http://www.ronaldreaganmemorial.com/funeral.asp
This is a MEDIA Information release for memorial activities:
(Partial quote)The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, located at 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley, California will be CLOSED FOR PARKING from Saturday, June 5th until Sunday, June 13th. ALL MEDIA MUST GO TO CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY (CLU) located at 60 West Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks, California
They give a link to a map in this press release.
Not a lot more information, such as dates, times, etc., but if they're imposing this parking restriction on the press (who usually hang out right at the site of whatever is going on), they may also request the public to follow this.
Also, just got off the phone with Simi Valley Police Dept. (information # (805) 583 - 6100, regular # (805) 583 - 6950). They said there may be a shuttle service being run from Moorpark College on Sunday, but they were not certain about that. They said to keep trying the link I posted above to the Reagan Library Funeral information.
Finally, Simi Valley Bus Service to the Presidential Library normally does not run on Saturday or Sunday. You can find the schedule at this link (it's a PDF file):
http://www.ci.simi-valley.ca.us/Bus_Schedule_A-D__5-03__-_Complete.pdf
so you could find a place to park in Simi, if you're going on Monday, and the parking restrictions are still bad at the Library.
That's about all the information I've been able to dig up. Sorry it's not more informative.

Anybody going to fly to DC to view him in the Capitol?
I wish I had the dough to plop down and I would get a plane ticket, that's for sure.
I hope there will be many, many local rememberences.
I have been rather amazed at the fairly nice coverage the media has been giving him (for the most part). Dan Rather even did his little tear up deal at the end of the broadcast. Many say they are fake. I don't believe so. I believe he is being genuine in such moments. He may be a liberal, but there are times when it seems he can get past politics and just be an American. Of course, that is short-lived.
Anyway....thank God that Ronnie is now out of his misery and home now. Prayers for Nancy....

U.S. flags on Iraq Coalition sites are at half-mast today.
Noticed it when I had to run an errand on camp just a little while ago.
