I am deeply saddened and somewhat shocked about the news of Reagan's passing. He was one of the best Presidents, if not the best President ever. I know that he was very ill and that his time was to come soon, but this still hurts very deeply. Please take a moment to remember President Reagan and if you have children who are old enough to understand, take some time to discuss this wonderful and inspirational man with them, the man who was our 40th President!
Rest in Peace President Reagan!

It is a very moving tribute to him.
I was away from radio and TV (and FR) most of the afternoon and when I saw it on FR - I immediately turned on FNC.
His first term was the first election I was eligible to vote.
Truly an inspirational man. God Bless him.

I was flipping through the channels (we are having a family party) and I was in shock.
I was born 11 days after he was sworn in for his 1st term.
God Bless him and may God watch over this great man!

I noticed Mr. Oliver North hasn't checked in yet.
He may be taking this pretty hard.

I look forward to hearing when Peggy Noonan is on.. if I haven't missed her already.

Let's not forget our friends in Poland.
They will be taking this very hard, as well.

I don't channel flip when it comes to news.
When I saw it when refreshing the main news page of FR after having been away a few hours before I clicked a thread or turned on the TV I flew out the door to catch my husband before he left for the store to tell him.

I can't believe it (I hate Dan Rather), but I just heard a Rather interview on the radio that was unbelievably complimentary and gracious. Maybe the death of the Great Communicator will bring America together. It was really something special.

Giuliani giving a nice tribute to Reagan from the Belmont.
It has been nice to see such kind words from so many. Waiting for President Bush.

I'm impressed with the Blather............
As to the death of this great man bringing america together, I'm not optimistic....maybe Republicans and Conservatives.....but beyond that, I don't see it happening.

No, Fox is the only reliable source...however, I had no clue at the time what had happened, and I just turned off Jimmy Neutron (we have my boyfriend's young cousins over) when I saw this on Fox. We called everyone in and broke the news.

Maybe the death of the Great Communicator will bring America together. I hope so. A great leader deserves a great outpouring from the public.
