I sit here with this image occupying my desktop and listening to my saved copy of President Reagan's Farewell Address. I am truly saddened. Tears are flowing as I listen to the speech and look at this picture.

America has lost a true Statesman, a truly GREAT President.

Yes. We have. But fuqua, without ever once worrying about his 'legacy', this good man has left us such a windfall of direction and vision. Ronald Reagan will NEVER have to be concerned (like a certain someone too yucky to mention here) about his legacy. Because he never was. He was concerned with America, her course in this world and her security at home.

He knew the meaning of IS as well as the meaning of 'oath'.

Rest in Peace, Mr. President. You have done more than your share of making this world a truly better place. May we who remain have the courage to continue the job.

My condolences to his family, friends, and indeed to all people who cared deeply for him.
