Such things will backfire on the hate America left. They always do.

Americans loved President Reagan precisely because he had a positive, optimistic view of America. The extreme left will never and can never understand that.

The tears are rolling down my cheeks as I think of all the wonderful things this man did for the United States of America and the World. There will never be another one like him.

looks like "city on the hill" is going to be a recuring theme in the statements of dignitaries.

We will see yet again which reporters are venimous partisans in the comming days.

Me too. The part where he takes the writings of Jefferson is superb.

Were my soul trembling on the verge of eternity, my hand freezing in death, I would still implore you to remember this truth: God has given America to be free.

Also got another quote of him here:

I never met President Reagan personally, but I loved him deeply. I still do.

I am so sorry that he is gone, but so deeply joyful that he was with us for as long as he was. He made America and the world a better place.

Exactly. Whatever I may think of Pres. Clinton's personal or political actions, he is still a human being, and deserving of respect and dignity.

His second or first?

When Reagan was elected I was still a hateful little Dim. So much so, that my young son, upon hearing the election results, asked, "What's going to happen to us now?" as though we were going to be shipped to a gulag for being liberals.

Since then, I've become a conservative and now realize what Reagan was about all those years when I was young and stupid (thanks, Peggy Noonan). I mourn his loss.

I also want to pray for Nancy Reagan, who should be held up to every American girl as a tremendous role model of a courageous wife.

Good one...among many! Something libs don't seem to know: Intellect is the basis for wit. Both Reagan and Bush have both. Kerry is very poor in that department imo.

Went wrong. Here it is:

No arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.

Got another one:
