ABC just announced :( Ronald Reagan was 93
What a great man...
Yeah.....
Luckily, most coverage I have seen even on ABC has been pretty fair and respectful, even with Elizabeth Vargas.
Yeah, Kerry's smart. But he's a walking EGO, and a cynical and vindictive man. His first statement will most likely be of sadness, but as the days move on, he won't be able to help himself. He may even make a snide remark while on a hot mike, as he's done 2 or 3 times before.
Lets pity the fool who had time to HTML all those pictures and the thread.
Now you have me giggling, even at this sad time!
On Fox, they were talking about how President Bush is much more like Ronald Reagan than he is his own father. I agree.
Can't edit replies. Sorry.
Thank you for your service to this great man.
CNN JUST ANNOUNCED GEORGE BUSH SR. IS GOING TO MAKE A STATEMENT FROM HIS HOME.

Come join us on the Smarty Jones live thread. Race in a few minutes. Take your mind off President Reagan for a few minutes. I think Reagan would want us to enjoy this race.
CNN just showed a video....out a private citizen....who wanted to leave flowers at the Reagan home.
checking in from the road,God bless RR
"I had a copy of the Soviet Constitution and I read it with great interest. And I saw all kinds of terms in there that sound just exactly like our own: 'Freedom of assembly' and 'freedom of speech' and so forth. Of course, they don't allow them to have those things, but they're in there in the constitution. But I began to wonder about the other constitutions -- everyone has one -- and our own, and why so much emphasis on ours. And then I found out, and the answer was very simple -- that's why you don't notice it at first. But it is so great that it tells the entire difference. All those other constitutions are documents that say, 'We, the government, allow the people the following rights,' and our Constitution says 'We the People, allow the government the following privileges and rights.' We give our permission to government to do the things that it does. And that's the whole story of the difference--why we're unique in the world and why no matter what our troubles may be, we're going to overcome."
wishful thinking. I flipped from Fox News to other channels to see what they were saying about the President. NBC and CNN talked Iran-Contra. ABC talked about the contradiction of the President's small government ideas and his spending. The real contrast is between President's belief that you shouldn't speak ill of someone even if you disagree with them, an the typical liberal hate and tendency to villify anyone who disagrees with them.
The positive movement of President Reagan is what made him great.
Nancy said her life didn't really begin until she met him.
What a wonderful love story and life they shared.
I cant believe how crass some people can be. As much as I am oppressed to Clinton, if God forbid he were to fight a debilitating disease for ten years and then die, I know I would, and I would like to think most people at Free Republic would, treat the news with reverence, and respect for his family.
Pity the fool? No, a resounding NO. "Loathe" describes my feelings for such a person who proudly and conspiculously displays his low life.
