I've talked many times with my wife about Reagan's illness and how he's managed to live all these years with essentially no life at all. She's said to me that it's tragic that he doesn't recognize family members or friends, doesn't know who he is.

And surely it is tragic.

But I believe simply by being alive and being in the news every February when his birthday rolls around and sporadically at other times - I believe Ronald Reagan is continuing to serve his country and the cause he believed in.

It seems that every year when the History Channel and news outlets talk about him and his life there are people who grew up while Reagan was president who, for the first time, realize what a tremendous contribution he made, how right he was on the issues. I think the movement that began with Reagan (or Goldwater) - let's call it the Reagan Revolution - is continuing to move forward, propelled in part each February simply by Reagan's still being alive.

Even in illness he has continued in the service of this nation.

I just wish he knew how much he means to so many of us.

God bless Ronald Reagan.

What you say is true, but I believe that when Ronald Reagan passes over, he will be in a place where he can once again serve America. He loved God and he loved America in that order, so how can anyone who believes in an eternal life doubt that he will do whatever he can to see that blessings from above are bestowed upon our country and citizens? God bless you and keep you Ronald Reagan... go peacefully to your reward.
