FEINSTEIN INTRODUCES "ASSAULT WEAPONS" REAUTHORIZATION BILL
NRA-ILA
June 4, 2004

Yesterday, vehemently anti-gun Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)introduced S. 2498, legislation that would reauthorize the Clinton gun ban. The bill is being held on the Senate floor and could come up at any time.

This is the start of a sustained political battle we`ll be waging over the next few months. Our opponents will continue to work at every turn to try and accomplish their anti-gun goals, and we need to be prepared. Please visit NRA-ILA`s informative website-- www.ClintonGunBan.com --and learn the facts about this debate, which has too long been driven and dominated by falsehoods and emotion. And please forward this website to others who need to know both the history and the truth about this issue. Then, please contact your Senators and urge them to oppose S. 2498 or any other legislation seeking to extend the so-called "assault weapons" ban.

You can find contact information for your elected officials by using the "Write Your Representatives" tool at http:/www.NRAILA.org, or you can call your U.S. Senators at (202) 224-3121.

Voting is one thing; making the AW ban a campaign theme, which is what it would take for it to have a chance of passing, is quite another.

Di-Fi is at it again I see. Using the spirit of the D-Day weekend we are celebrating, one thing I wish I could do is beam Di-Fi back in time to 1943 in the Warsaw ghettos deep in the heart of Nazi occupied Europe without a firearm or even a knife. I bet she'd be on her way to Auschwitz or Treblinka in short order. Don't worry, I don't wish the full weight of the Holocaust on the old girl, sure I'd yank her out just before the worst could happen, but I would hope she'd learn from the experience.

What more can I say except "Molon Labe!"

Ok guys, this is a biggie. I already wrote all my reps about when they tagged this garbage on the lawsuit reform law. Should I do it specifically for this one as well? Or is that overkill..

Do we have the text of the bill?

Guys, remember...we're in a MUCH better position now vs. '94.

- This issue helped KILL the Dims in three election cycles;

- We now have Republican control of both houses of Congress, and the Presidency;

- We now have such tools as the Internet to use to spread the word;

- The worst graboids are not even popular with their own party;

- We have the FACTS on our side.

IMHO, if this is nuked again like last time, it will be Feinswine's last gasp. She cannot continue to bog the Senate down in this issue for the remainder of the Congressional session...not even the Dims want that.

Sustained pressure on the Administration works, as well. The reason that the President has backed away from both this issue AND the amnesty issue is the continued pressure from the base.

BUMP. We've got a real chance here to make a piece of anti-gun legislation GO AWAY. Let's not blow it.

Can't Finestein find some other hobby? Maybe like taking her gun to the range and blowing off some steam? Or maybe it's a physical problem like menstruating or hot flashes? Or maybe it's a mental problem, like a phobia or other neurosis? She seems obsessed.

Di Fi probably needs to be medicated. Is there a doctor in the house?

Also--we have the House of Representatives. While Hastert has proven to be totally unreliable, DeLay has not double-crossed us yet...

She' totally irrational about guns. A good friend of hers in San Fran was murdered. She's based most of her career since then on the issue.

Funny thing, he wasn't killed with an "assault weapon".

DeLay's been good, yes, but he shouldn't have to carry the whole load. There are some Senators who'll stay the course with the right persuasion.

The Ban has cost Soldier's lives...it has prevented the domestic development of new weapons for them, and of better magazines for their rifles.

We are now, because of it, having to buy service rifles from the Germans, magazines also.

Don't be shocked if a "Super Columbine" or an "assault rifle massacre" happens between now and the election.

Given their love of jihadis, I would expect a terrorist massacre at a mall using assault weapons obtained at a gun show. Not only does it give that evil gun angle, it also lets them say Bush is losing the war on terror.

Trust me, I'm aware and appreciative of that fact!

I'm also aware that there is no place on the planet, where there is a larger collection of the stupid/worthless/undesirable version --- than right here in the U.S..

No Gun Bill Vote until an Energy Bill Vote!

The bwitch will probably tie it to an energy bill or a terrorism bill to try to sneak it through. It's going to be difficult for any congress critter to reject that kind of legislation. They'll be damned if they do and damned if they don't sign it.

Several months ago, I sent Diane Feinstein an email, being that I'm one of her subjects, taking issue with her stance. Her response was long. She does believe in RKBA, but believes this only applies collectively and not to individuals. As long as she believes this, she can't be debated.
