I'm asking for prayer for myself and my family. My dearest Aunt Jeanette in Cleveland, passed away this evening from sepsis caused by Clostridium difficile colitis. She was just the sweetest, most wonderful old lady in the world. She was our family historian; could tell you name, dates, of anybody and everybody. One of the smartest ladies I've ever known. She was nearly totally blind and couldn't hear worth a darn, but she would kick my butt on Jeopardy, and I consider myself quite a good player.
Thankfully, I was able to get to Cleveland to be with her when she died. She was surrounded by two of three of her triplet sons (one is in the Philippines, and couldn't get back), daughters-in-law, neices, sister, and granddaughters, and thankfully passed away very peacefully.
There is a lot of sadness tonight in our family, and any kind thoughts or prayer would be greatly appreciated. I love you so much, Aunt Jeannette. You were one of the most wonderful people I've ever known, and I'll never forget you.
My sympathies. I think it's beautiful how much you want everyone to know just how special she was.
What an incredible blessing, to be loved so very much. Do you know that you were a blessing to your beloved Aunt Jeannette? Did you know that you were God's hands for her?
She is remembering you to our Father, with love and gratitude, even now. You are loved. Even now...
God Bless
Thank you. She really was a special lady. Nobody disliked her. She was in rehab to try to strenghten her up to get her back home, and then this happened. It was quite sudden and unexpected.
Our prayers are that her soul may be rested, your spirits and hearts may be comforted and that in fact you shall have that glorious reunion in the future in God's own time.
Prayers are on the way up. God bless.....
Thank you. Your kind words are appreciated. I love Freepers!
The Bible tells us in Psalm 116:15 that the death of a saint is precious in the eyes of the Lord. Your description of her loved ones gathered to bid her farewell certainly attests to the truth of this psalm's sentiment. I know I should rejoice when a loved one passes away and is welcomed by the Lord, but I guess I'm just too earthbound not to experience grief.
Thank you for asking me to offer up your need to the Lord!
My sympathies.
Sad to hear that and I am sorry for you and your family!
I will be praying for you and your family. I am sorry for your loss.

Father God;
I humbly ask for comfort, faith, hope and strength for Sioux's family at this time Lord. Please make Your presence felt Father.
In Jesus' name i pray....
Amen.
My condolences Sioux. At least you and the family were there and she went peacefully. I do hope she IS a believer. God's Grace Sioux.
Thank you. I will print this thread out for her sons and my mom (her sister).
Sorry to hear about your loss.
Sorry to hear this, Siouxz. Prayers of comfort for you and your family from our house.
She left you all with good thoughts of her. I can think of no other higher achievement in life. God must be smiling.
Knowing your pain with prayers BUMP
Good people are never gone/forgotten!
The good things she has done will live on far beyond anything you might imagine. The good news is she is now free, in touch with those she has muissed and waiting for you to join her.
That's the promise, and that's the truth!
Blessed are those who leave behind pleasant memories
Not soon forgotten is the love shared
All else is chaff
and death the sifter
nothing has more value than love
peace and comfort to your family
