Bulldozer Rampage In Granby

GRANBY, Colo. (News 4) A person with a gun has reportedly driven a bulldozer with armor welded to it into several buildings in the town of Granby and heavily damaged the Town Hall, News 4 reports.

The suspect fired shots, and it is unknown what his motive was. Witnesses said police were firing shots at the bulldozer, but were not able to penetrate the armor.

Several buildings were heavily damaged in the main section of town, according to witnesses. Witness Teri Hertel told News 4 by phone that the driver plowed through several trees and signs on the street.

The caterpillar tractor had armor welded to it, according to News 4 photojournalist Rob McClure on scene.

Many police were responding to the situation, including the Jefferson County SWAT team. Emergency crews also called for evacuations, according to witnesses.

Refute anything that I've posted that isn't factual. You can't.

Actually I made a mistake. I thought from Matt's post that you had contended that Weaver had a homemade tank.

Sorry about that, I should have scrolled up. My bad.

Not that I care what you think about anything or anyone but despite my many faults, at no time have I ever posted "BS" here.

Crazy......... One has to figure a D9 Kitty with proper "accessories" would be a bitch for local LEO's to stop. A SWAT arsenal should have a Barrett 82A1 or Mc Bros bolt gun for surgical application of a stopping round of AP to the mechanicals. Hell I'd bet a barnes solid from my 460 Weatherby magnum would at least spall that driver or punch a hole in his adhoc armor......Dang !

Stay safe !

You expect a guy to work within the law when the law is abusing him? You blame him for the deeds of someone else.

You call the FBI and U.S. Marshall's actions as "Mistakes".

Why don't you call Weavers far less serious actions "Mistakes".

I've often said that the downtown area of my home town would benefit from a random bulldozer.

As usual you left out Weaver's refusal to show up in court, refusal to surrender to authorities, refusal to fight through the legal system. Instead he took up arms. And since this all happened in 1992, how are Clinton and Reno to blame for Weaver's actions?

You're right about one thing. Clinton and Reno shouldn't be blamed for what happened at Ruby Ridge.

George HW Bush was running the show at the time.

And that's the truth.

They need to attach some C4 or dynamite to the SWAT bomb robot and send it over to the cat and take out a track or the whole cat.

"Too many so-called conservatives with anti-cop/anti-FBI/other agendas falsely portray them as poor innocent victims. Their dad and mom chose to play with fire, and paid the price as a result."

They were innocent victims, fool. So called conservatives to me, are the ones that defend government/police abuse and then blame the victims for not kneeling fast enough.

"Only one thing that can stop a runaway bulldozer, but Michael Moore's in France."

Mr. Moore needs a good dose of prozac and several wraps of duct tape around his big mouth.

If you are REALLY good with a .30-06, all you have to do is hit the oil filter can on the engine. It pumps oil out pretty fast.

Of course, first you have to know where to look, then....etc.

What, don't they go to the movies?

They should take off their socks, get some axel grease, and make sticky bombs.

The oil cooler is highly vulnerable, but it may have been covered with plate like the rest of the mechanicals.

I don't know how big a town Granby is but it Cant be much smaller than the one i live in. You could flatten the whole town in about two passes. If you were an over acheiver you could push this whole town into the lake with about 6 passes.
