My friend, it seems, is hopelessly misinformed – yet, because what I was telling him was so inconsistent with the sense he was getting from the "newspaper of record," he actually had trouble believing me.

Is he misinformed, or does his hatred trump everything else?

The groundwork is in place to deploy the secret weapon: Missunderestimation 103. 101 was in Nov 2000, 102 was in Nov 2002. LOL!

Freedom of the Press, in America, was once based upon the precept that the Truth would be printed, beyond objection. However, today, we have politically motivated News from the "Paper of Record".... On record with me as not worthy as a backup to Charman.

You are 100% right - the national media is nothing but another arm of the DNC - They are daily lying and spinning to the American public.

I am not over stating what is happening either - this is 100% the truth - They lie nightly about the economy (I have even had conversations with Aaron Brown from CNN where he openly admits this to me and then tries to justify it).

What we need to do is keep getting facts out there - Develop email lists (family) (Co-workers) (those long chain letter emails) use all these as a way of getting good economic news out -

Make sure the "Subject" line says most of what needs saying - U.S. Economy Booming!!ONE MILLION NEW JOBS CREATED IN PAST 3 MONTHS (this would be one example). Then inside the email obviously post the detailed information.

We must all be doing what we can to get the facts out - the media are lying nightly with regard to anything they think will hurt GWB.

Thanks for posting, Looey, and I agree. The Administration should start calling out the Times and the other Dem media outlets by name -- get specific -- cite distortions, hold them accountable. Make it clear that we are at war with them as they are with us. I think this strategy would work very well -- make the Sheeple see what is going on, make the Times's coverage the issue instead of always playing defense. I am SICK of our side always playing defense.

I can't stand the Slimes.

Our local rag which is as bad as the Slimes is all in a snit because Mike Rogers(Congressman) and Valde Garcia(State senator) rightly took the media to task for their poor anti-American Iraq coverage.

It was great to see the reps finally going on offense against these jokers.

...the Augusta National Golf Club managed to successfully beat back an attempt by the New York Times to bully the club into changing its tradition of all-male membership. Early on, the club made a crucial decision: to win the battle, they had to take the press head on, making criticism of the media itself part of the story. "Stopping the New York Times dead in its tracks," said the club's publicity manager "was critical to the overall effort, because the Times sets the agenda for the broader media world."

The club's publicity manager needs to write a book, go on tour, give seminars, do whatever it takes to educate the public on what he did to take down the NYT. If a country club can do it then so can corporations, even individuals.
