is dat you Tammy?
Feel Better?
Well written -- nice job!
It is good..but you should have posted it late Friday night....(G)
Nice rant.
Thank you, Cyborg. As a 29 year old woman wondering if she'll ever get married, you've just said what I've been thinking for a while now.
nice rant at that.
And what a brilliant rant it is. If more women thought like you, our country would be very different. Feminists and lawyers have made the institution of marriage very hazardous to men.
In California, the divorce laws are so unfair - it is no wonder most men don't want to get married.
I ought to know, I'm one of the casualties. Although I crave a relationship - I must admit I'm very gunshy....
Good rant!!
Are you looking for consolation? Everything you say is true and was predicted at the height of the "women's movement", but nobody paid any mind.
If you are serious for suggestions, I'd suggest affiliating with a church and getting active in a singles group. Or, get active with the Young Republicans. Or, take a class and try to find someone who shares your interests.
There are a lot of good men out there, and they are as frustrated as you at finding someone nice. (They just won't admit it because it doesn't look "macho".)
Good luck.
What happened to the links in your profile ?
I'm sure those dried-up wretches are happy - misery LOVES company.
I think I've had time to digest this, but I'm still trying to compose a proper response.
Well, I'm glad you let your feelings be known. It does help to get these things out into the open. Fresh air does help the soul.
It's funny that you mentioned Limbaugh at the beginning of your post, because he has this great riff on the prolonged adolescence of today's youth, which I think ties into many of your complaints about finding a suitable mate.
One thing the feminists have managed to accomplish over the previous thirty or so years, is to exculpate men from any type of moral responsibility. You brought this up-either implicitly or explicitly-several times in the course of your comments, which I think were very perceptive regarding the imbalance between the sexes.
I don't know if you've ever read "The Feminine Mystique", but it offers you a good idea of where this type of mentality originated. I have read it-don't laugh, you have to read that sort of crap to get an American Studies degree-and found Friedan's arguments to be very hollow.
I'd delve a little bit deeper into this aspect of the tortured, feminist interpretation of free will, but I'm sure that you've got dozens-if not hundreds-of takers who want to join in on the fray.
Let's rumble!
Bravo.
Have you ever read any Camille Paglia?

Try taking personal responsibility for your spinsterhood rather than blaming it on others.
2 other caues of the Feminist movement: More Gays and Semi-Gays (metro-sexuals)!~}
Nice home page!
Great rant! Right on too.
Oh, cy...I wish there was something I could do for you. But all the men I know who are the marrying kind are...
...you guessed it...
...married.
