This Coffee Rd./Scenic Dr. (Downey Park) statement is a bit confusing. This is my neighborhood. Downey Park is located .7 mile north of Scenic on Coffee Rd. Downey High School (where Laci attended hs) is also at this location. Downey Park is not 5 miles long.
However, if one clicks on the link for the map in post #28, you will see the above mentioned intersection. It is actually a "T" intersection. That is the beginning of Coffee Rd.
Also, you will notice Dry Creek to the south of the intersection. Across Dry Creek, there is a series of parks which do indeed extend for about 5 miles running along the creek east/west. This is also the location of the Peterson house.
The Coffee/Scenic intersection has several small businesses on the north side of Scenic. Can't figure out what Distaso is hinting at with his statement. Just have to wait and see.
However, if y'all remmeber back to the tabloid story about the woman who states she saw Peterson and boat at the convenience store buying the Red Bull, the Crescent Food Store is located about 2-3 miles north of Scenic on Coffee Rd.
That's weird. My Norton 2003 just scanned my computer. That's why I haven't posted for the last 25 minutes. It is set for this time of night and I'm gonna change it. BUT, Norton shouldn't block you from Websleuths. You need to go to your security settings and lower them. That has always fixed my problems with that kind of thing.
That's interesting Dave. From what I have been gathering, Rick Distaso has a LOT of mindblowing TESTIMONY coming. When I was reading the bantering back and forth regarding some really startling stuff that WILL be testified to - The girl (Wudge)on Websleuths, who is also a poster on CTV and is a complete Snotty butt kisser, not guilty type, keeps telling the girl Scandi who is the one that has the the friend who works in MPD, that Distaso "cannot possibly" have any bombshells NOW because he didn't reveal them in his opening statement AND Wudge says that it would be a major disclosure violation and kept out. Scandi said NO, it would not be a violation as Distaso has given his WITNESS list to Geragos and Geragos knows who each EXPERT is and their relevant field. He does NOT need to disclose WHAT that individual will be testifying to specifically. Geragos can get his OWN Expert in each of the fields. Anyway,it is the Testimony that is going to bring in the major blows to the Defense. Things that will NOT be able to be overcome by the Defense. This really DOES sound authentic because I DO remember reading the statement on Websleuths last summer that was told to Scandi by her friend. That statement was : YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY HAVE.!! It has now surfaced again. It's exciting. I really wish this trial were televised although I would probably have to do what I did with the Simpson case and tape it each day and then watch when I got home.
Maybe Kim McGregor stuffed it in the drawer. LOL!
I don't believe that for a minute though. I'd bet you dollars to donuts that SP was haunted by that blouse and stuffed it away so he wouldn't have to look at it anymore.
I am really late to this thread. Lots going on around here. Anyway I have a question? How do we know that the blouse was dirty when wadded up and put in the drawer? Couldn't Scotty have done the laundry at some point and then just shoved it in the drawer after it was washed? It will be interesting to learn how this blouse plays into things.

Hey DD. I better clarify that it was me who put (Downey Park) into the equation. From the whole of the transcripts it was clear that Distaso was pointing to and referring to the Dry Creek area when he made the comment about 5 miles of park. I thought I'd be helpful and google the intersection. Downey Park popped up, thanks for correcting the location of that park. Distaso never even utters the words "Downey Park" in his opening.

Lisa Bloom was the person that did a little rant on Dan Abrams show about Scott continuing to see Amber after Laci disappeared. Later in the show Dan said someone had called in to correct a statement made by one of his guests (he didn't know which guest made the incorrect statement). I didn't see the show, read the transcript posted here on FR.
