Someone explain to me how this will affect criminals and not law abiding people? Seems to me the only affect such bills will have is on the decent people while gangs won't give up firepower.

In the unlikely and unthinkable event that the Dims regain control on the Hill or somehow lie, cheat or steal the presidency, I think I am going to seriously shop for an Independence Day gift for myself. Something in .40 or 9mm... I fear the day when our 2nd amendment rights are taken from us and freedom becomes a memory.

Does this mean that Feinstein would give up her pistol permits and weapons?
Oh yes, I thought not.

Fienswine will attache this amendment to every piece of legislation that she can during the next several months. The anti-gunners simply do not want accept a defeat because they know that their precious "assault weapon ban" is a worthless, useless piece of legislation designed to get people used to banning guns based solely on cosmetics.

Is the article referring to the AWB? some new version of the AWB? or some new piece of crap outlawing all semi-automatic pistols, rifles and shotguns?
Pratt could try to be more clear in his announcements.

Oh boy;
is it ever depressing to be offered a quick means to 'alert your Senators..." about some piece of legislation when the legislation belongs to "your" senator.
Somehow, I don't think that "Dianne, please don't do it" would work.

I'm waiting patiently for the day when the "Bush can do no wrong" crowd get to explain to us about why the President signing and extension to the AW ban is a "good thing". it shouldn't be too long now.

Unfortunatly, I have Debbie Stabusall and Carl Lenin here who voted to ban the .30-30.
It will come down to the house.

There's gotta be some rule against endlessly pushing the same bill on everything that comes along after it loses, in the same session. Isn't there? :(

Last month our private gun club was shut-down by the selectmen. A guy in town complained that "bullets had gone wizzing by him" while he was in his yard. No evidence, no witnesses. The police investigation was negative. The club has been shooting for 80 years. The guy lives a mile away, uphill, after a mile of trees. The selectmen simply closed the club, shutting-out 300 paying members who own the club and the land. We now have to hire a lawyer to exercise our rights.
IT NOW TAKES JUST ONE LYING LIBERAL TO SHUT-DOWN AN ENTIRE RANGE. IT TAKES JUST ONE LYING LIBERAL SENATOR TO SHUT DOWN EVERYONES' RANGE.
