Statement by Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Chairman Gov. Marc Racicot Regarding John Kerry skipping yesterday's vote on $25 billion for our troops (title edited for length)
ARLINGTON, VA Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Chairman Gov. Marc Racicot issued the following statement on John Kerry skipping yesterday's vote on $25 billion for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan:
"John Kerry is giving a speech today on modernizing our military less than 24 hours after he skipped a vote on $25 billion in funding for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. John Kerry's decision to spend yesterday delivering an attack speech rather than returning to the Senate to support the troops shows his purely political approach to foreign policy. Kerry said he would support the supplemental, but didn't show up to vote on the bill.
"Yesterday's missed vote comes just eight months after Kerry voted against $87 billion in funding that provided body armor, combat pay and health care for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Kerry explained that decision by saying, 'I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.' Weeks before casting that vote, Kerry said that it would be 'irresponsible' not to give our troops what they need. In April, Kerry said his support for funding our troops 'depends entirely on what the situation is.' To win the War on Terror, America needs a strong and steady leader who supports our troops unconditionally."
kerry is a flaming asshole and will not be missed in December....
"Kerry saying that he is going to vote for the 25 billions and then show the Roll Call in the Senate showing that Kerry skipped voting."
I wondered if this dumbass would be stupid enough to miss this vote. Who were the others who didn't vote?
is he getting paid Senator salary when he is on the campaign trail?
Now its a $25 billion NO show.
John Kerry can't be trusted under any circumstances.
Why am I so surprised...not!
I wondered too. I really did not believe they would be so dumb as to let him miss this vote, but I guess more evidence of that highly oiled machine that is the Kerry campaign?
Of course he would have voted for the $25 billion before he would have voted against it.
Amendment SA 3260 agreed to in Senate by Yea-Nay Vote. 95 - 0. Record Vote Number: 106.
Not Voting: Bacus,Campbell,Kerry, Edwards, Fitzgerald.
Thank you very kindly.
yes, yes he is
Kerry hasn't learned: Actions speak louder than words.
Missing a vote is like voting "present". In his heart (?) he's against anything to do with the war, but he's too cowardly to actually show up and vote "No".
Yes he is getting paid, there is a drive on to make him pay his salary back, maybe someone else has the link?
So Kerry flipped before he flopped... I guess you could call him consistently inconsistent.
so KENNEDY showed up and also voted 'yes"?
