Hey Mike, Sorry about getting this off kinda late, been pretty hectic around here recently. Not quite sure what you're hearing from the news, I don't get a whole lot of time to follow it. For the most I feel that the Iraqi people actually appreciate us being here. The attacks that are happening are basically a result of unemployment, and a few terrorists (or whatever you want to call them) paying people off to do the attacks. From what I've heard from the locals around my sector they are pretty much just trying to do what they can to improve their quality of life. But when so many people are out of jobs, they will pretty much do anything they can to make ends meet to provide for themselves and their families. There are many issues that need to be resolved as far as rebuilding their country. And though the people want as many issues resolved as quickly as possible, they can't be resolved that way in an efficient manner. There are already many Iraqi police and ICDC which are basically the guys we are going after, and they use the support of the coalition forces as a cover, so the rest of the people won't be able to fight back. So it may be a long road ahead, but for the large majority of the Iraqi people, they want us here, and they want us to help them rebuild. That always makes me feel good about being here, actually making a difference in these people's lives and giving them opportunities they've never had. It always amazes me how people don't think we should be here. I don't think they really understand what life is like here and how these people were treated. But I suppose most people will never understand that. Well, it's great to hear you're enjoying your new house. I might have to take a trip up there once my time is up. I'll send ya e-mails when I can. Brian
Oh my dear Freeper - Your brother is indeed a hero and will not be forgotten. My most heartfelt prayers for you and your family.
God Bless You and your family
Condolences to you and your family. Each time I hear about a death, it hits me right in the heart. I was there for a year, and I still worry about my brothers and sisters that are there. Thank you for sharing this. If there is anything that you need, let me know. If I can help, I will.
The poem you posted has a lot of meaning in our family because for Christmas my brother had framed that poem for my Dad as a gift. We read it at his funeral and at a Memorial Day tribute that was held locally. Brian said it was written by Charles M. Province though-I hope we weren't giving credit to the wrong person. Thank you for posting it--Means a lot!
Re your #99 on this thread: Very well stated. Your daughters deserve to grow up in a world free of monsters who think the way to make a political point is to fly passenger planes into buildings.
Prayers for another American hero, your brother leaves a legacy...
My prayers for your family during this time of grief and my eternal gratitude to your brother for keeping America safe.
Excellent Observation!
Hi. I am Brian's Dad, and really appreciate the support and caring that I am seeing on this site. I wanted to note that this poem, It's the Soldier, was given to me by Brian as a present when he was home on leave last Christmas. It obviously meant a lot to him, it means a lot to me, and the family has been trying to get it read every chance we can, including at his funeral in April. God Bless ALL the troops around the world. They are each as precious as our Brian was to us.
Sir, words escape me at this moment as I try to express to you my heartfelt condolences to you, for your loss.
As I read more about your son, I realise that his passing is also our loss. America has lost a fine son.
Sir, I would also like to take this opportunity to compliment you on the way you have raised your sons. You did an excellent job! Fine boys! I have 4 children and know what a difficult job it is to raise children in this day and age, who do not become indoctrinated with the leftist agenda.
You sir, are a Hero of mine.
God bless you and keep you in this time of mourning.
Prayer ping.

If you want on or off my prayer ping list, please let me know. All requests happily honored.
Thank you for your kind words, but I must make a small correction. Brian was my only son. My daughter, Katie, is MyBrotherIsAnAmericanHero. I have two other daughters, and am just as proud of all of them.
Brian was a very special guy, and we will miss him greatly, but we do remember that there are thousands of Brians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere around the world. We all owe our lives and our freedom to all of them.
God bless your brother and your family...my prayers are with you.
God bless your brother, and prayers on the way for your family.
Please accept my apology on behalf of your daughter. I know better than to assume, when I am on line!
But, my compliments to you remain! You have done a fine job with your children.
Thank You for your Blessed Brother and your Family.
Our hearts cry for your sadness...
Blessed be Brian as he continues his work for Freedom in Heaven with the God's Liberty Angels.

My prayers and appreciation go out to you and your family.
Thank you so much.
I cannot tell you the depth of emotions I feel upon reading this thread about Brian. Profound gratitude for his courage and commitment, overwhelming grief for his loss, tentative hope for victory over terrorism because of patriots like Brian are just a few.
Thank you for sharing his last email with us. Anyone can see from by words what a fine young man he was. I'm in agreement with Ms. Ponzi when she says we must redouble our efforts to produce more like him.
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your great loss. May God bless and comfort your family.
Your brother is a true American hero, and this American is extremely grateful for his service and sacrifice. God bless you and your entire family, as you remember Brian and comfort one another.
