Vlabatsky (in H.P.) = Blavatsky (in hell).
These books are a giant game being played by master game-players. And your children will be the losers when the very real occult comes knocking and they open the door, thinking it's only a childhood friend.
If I wrote a book about someone named Hilter, would you automatically assume there's a Nazi subcurrent?
Ok, stupid for two reasons. 1. 'Vlabatsky' is the author of a book, and is mentioned as such all of once. 2. The book is on Divination, the one form of magic that nobody in HP actually seems to believe in.
I think you should be more upset that there are characters named things like "Minerva". How dare she promote pagan goddesses in children's literature!
Oh yes, haven't you heard about the hundreds of thousands of people becoming Wiccan everyday? At this rate they will overtake Islam in about 4 months. < /sarcasm>
My half-elf multi-classed fighter/wizard will kick its a$$. I figure Monster Summoning III ought to suffice, if a good old Sphere of Annihilation doesn't do the trick. Of course, I don't know what kind of saving throws the occult gets.
My husband plays Dungeons and Dragons, should I be worried?
