Where did I even mention Tenet?

Areafiftyone asks why Bush did not fire Tenet when he took office and you answered:

There are only so many positions a president can "fire"........and Clinton was kind enough before he left office to make most of his political appointees civil servants; you cannot just up and fire a CS. Ashcroft even went to Congress to get permission to fire some of them, but they, of course, said no; they could only move them laterally.

So instead of answering his question about why Tenet was not replaced by President Bush you talk about the difficulty of terminating people with civil service jobs.

So, the question remains on the table. Why did Bush leave Clinton Appointees heading our most important National Security Agency?

I am happy to see Tenet go but I have always wondered why he was left on board after 1/20/04.
