Well, it'll be interesting to guess over the next several months if he's taken any grudges with him..

CIA Chief Tenet Resigning, Bush Says

Thu Jun 3, 2004 10:31 AM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - CIA Director George Tenet is resigning for personal reasons, President Bush said Thursday.

I was hoping the article could have been a little more vague. </sarcasm>

.

Get Former CIA Director JAMES WOOLSEY back in as Director.

JAMES WOOLSEY also supports 9/11 Lifesaving Hero RICK RESCORLA's getting the recognition he so richly deserves.

To sign our U.S. 7th Cavalry's Petition to have BUSH award Killed in Actio RICK RESCORLA the Presidential Medal of Freedom ..go to:

Of course he quit, that way he can have his tell-all book out by October and hit 60 minutes, Softball, and CNN.

The way he threw his briefcase into the CIA staff car gave the appearance he wasn't too happy. He is a good friend of President Bush so I hope he doesn't muddy the waters after exiting the stage.

Guys get your facts right. Tenet hates Chalabi. So does the State Department and they have been illegaly undermining support for Iraq developing a real Constitutional Government that actually protects and endorse Freedom.

Chalabi doesn't wanT the UN in there to screw thing up like they did with Iraq during the 90's, but State and Tenet's boys have a hardon for the UN.

I think this has something to do with the Chalabi smear.

Not that Tenet personally directed it, but that he was in charge of people who did (or who abetted it -- I think it's State who have their hands most dirty).

Bush may be sincere in his 'regrets' -- Tenet probably realized the gig was up, and, having at least some honor, knew this was the last straw.

OK, good: Time to clean house at CIA. And even more so the Augean stables over at State.

This is a good development for the following reasons:

1) It will distract from the prison scandal -- which the public will begin to forget about

2) It will be seen as a sign that the president is holding people accountable for perceived intelligence failures.

3) Tenet likes Bush personally (far, far better than he liked Clinton) and is more likely to write a Clinton-bashing book that a Bush-bashing book.

4) Confirmation hearings are a great way for the GOP to showcase Democrat obstructionism and shrillness -- which will not play well with the public.

5) Confirmation hearings will distract from the Dem Convention anddraw public attention, reducing any "bounce" Kerry would normally get -- because coverage will be reduced.

All and all, this is VERY good news.

IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME!

Finally Bush can put someone in there who'll give him support instead of Tenet, who we all know is democrat. Now, the only thing I'm worried about is he'll do something to derail Bush's re-election bid.

What do you all think?
