WASHINGTON -- As President Bush begins a week of foreign diplomacy, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice insists that he will one day rank alongside such towering pillars of 20th century statecraft as President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

THat's what I was just thinking ..those sound like the words of a very loyal VP. Even if Bush sticks with Cheney, and I think he will as he is a very loyal man and let's face it Cheney is an amazing person to have around -- I truly hope Dr. Rice considers stepping up as a candidate for VP in 2008 -- only say VP as I don't think President is realistic for a first campaign. I wouldn't mind at all if she was to come back here to her native Alabama and run for office (maybe Attorney General since prior is now a Federal Judge) or better yet to California to take on FienSWINE.

Alas, these ratings are always done by historians and the media neither of whom will ever rate President Bush highly during my lifetime.
