True, but a photochopped version would invalidate any real image that might show up later. Remember how the photochopped Kerry-Fonda as a fake outpaced the Kerry-Fonda real on the news.
Photochopping is ok if it is obvious that it is a satire. If it appears too real, and people take it as such, it becomes a fraud.
Be careful when photochopping if you want the event to have credibility and validity.
