This was an early version of the A-300. It was not "fly by wire".
As I have posted, I believe that terminology is a problem here. I helped overhaul an A-300 that came from Eastern Airlines in the late 80's and I KNOW that there were no cables attaching the yoke or pedals or throttles to the flight controls. I literally climbed in every hole that a person could get in. The A-300 had triple redundant flight computers (three each for pitch, roll, and yaw) that were connected by electrical wires to the yoke and flight controls.
I suspect that the term "fly-by-wire" is meant to be used with digital computers while these were primative (by modern standards) analog computers.
