I was a bit disappointed this morning upon hearing the initial comments from Prime Minister Itad Allawi and President Ghazi al-Yawer on Fox & Friends - they gave flowering thanks to the UN and Kofi Annan yet only minimal recognition of the US for a new Iraq.
But a lot of the Iraqis say they do not want/trust the UN.
According to www.whitehouse.gov:
"The President of the United States will make a Statement on the Interim Iraqi Government on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 11:30 AM in the Rose Garden. "

I'm sorta behind on the news this morning; I just woke up.
I have a bad feeling about how Iraq's Gov. is unfolding/forming.
LOL! No real surprise there.
Politics. They don't wanna seem to
be our good buddies. UN is cover.
I felt the same initial disappointment but upon reflection I think it is OK. They clearly know that they will need to rely on the US but they also have a country to run where the citizens so not want to be "occupied". I also think that these are very brave men and women because they have targets on their backs. I think they will temper all remarks concerning the US for quite awhile.
Heads Up!
Bad feeling? Listen to the Prez...
LOL!
Most don't trust the UN; they're
just distancing from us. Watch &
take a cue from the Prez.

Yup, I know he will clear it up for me.

What would you expect of these Iraqi AHs?
I always love to listen to W. I can't fault them for wanting some distance from us - I just don't really trust any Islamists.
I have determined that you like to be the spoiler on every thread.
As I am certain you don['t care about my opinion, I am just putting it out there so that others can ignore you, as I am going to.
Yeah, get ready for their new political-speak. Sides are being drawn up in all kinds of places.
He's On
Bush on now.
Thanks, starting now.
