I felt the same initial disappointment but upon reflection I think it is OK. They clearly know that they will need to rely on the US but they also have a country to run where the citizens so not want to be "occupied". I also think that these are very brave men and women because they have targets on their backs. I think they will temper all remarks concerning the US for quite awhile.

I was pleased to hear Iraq's minister of security (I think that was his position) repeatedly express what seemed to me like sincere appreciation and gratitude to America and the President and the troops when he was interviewed by Neil Boortz this morning. I don't recall him saying anything about the UN.
