Come on guys this one was too easy. You gotta throw this one back.
What do we give the mules with their 40 acres?

Please don't go to the Republican Convention. Dubya is hosting a good ole Texas barbeque. You won't like it. Wackos like you are supposed to attend the Democratic Convention. Be there and be among friends.
Only in the dimly-lit recesses of your own mind, Dave. And I love your Biblical analysis (and I'm not a practicing Christian, so it's more for entertainment value that I rip it up):
"What you do to the least of my brethren, you do unto me." For all the Christians out there, I have a question: Do you really think Jesus would approve of the way we treat animals?
I don't think "brethen" equals hamsters, Dave. Or perhaps you are just engaging in some Clintonian parsing of what is a pretty clear term to the rest of us. Your animal-rights agenda diminishes humanity at the expense of animals when you try to pull this crap.
Sure he's a Republican. I'm soooooo sorry we lost his vote.
This year, I hope Bush doesn't pardon the Thanksgiving turkey...

Innocent humans, yes. And when the lion lies down with the lamb and starts eating tofu burgers instead of gazelles, then maybe I'll listen to you. Until then, we have a food chain, and my ancestors worked very, very, very hard to get to the top of it, thank you.
I think all right-thinking ("right" meaning "correct" in this instance) people will agree that we don't HAVE to kill animals to survive. So why kill?
Gee, maybe because meat is good for you (and tasty as well)? Maybe because grazing for meat is a productive use of otherwise non-arable land? Maybe because animal testing saves human lives?
You won't find too many freepers who oppose more human husbandry and slaugher methods. But we draw the line at equating human life with animal life. Peta tends to do the opposite - the whackos tend to treat humans like a virus and animals as more important. Like another poster said, you really, really need to examine the views of the other members of this group. I can understand how you got there - but you made a wrong turn.
All Peta does is carry out outlandish publicity stunts which are inexplicably covered by ALL the media, FOX included. I dare say I've never heard of Peta actually helping an animal. Local SPCA does more than these egotists every dreamed.
My favorite animal rights moments come when the wingnuts liberate thousands of minks from mink farms, which causes untold carnage to the local fauna due to the fact that minks are very nasty little predators.
Ah, the old anti-hunting argument. Guess what happens to deer when they're not hunted, Dave? They trash the ecosystem, because there are no large predators in many locals to keep them in check. And most sane people don't want to bring back mountain lions to the suburbs as a substitute for hunting.
Tell me, Dave - you're talking about God quite a bit and how he didn't give men the right to kill animals - so why then did he create predators? Are you saying a lion has the right to kill for food but we don't?
My son noticed that every year since he can remember the Thanksgiving turkey that gets pardoned is a female. Should we consider this sexist?
Maybe most turkeys raised for slaughter are females?
Still sounds like a feminist plot.
