Why did you see this question necessary as a thread an not as a simple email to the web-master?Works for me. The old Georgia flag gif has actually been annoying me too whenever I see it. Not because I had any problem with that flag, but just because it's inaccurate! Not that it was a big deal to me, though..

Are you implying that the Confederate flag is racist? Where'd you hear that on CNN.
Frankly we don't like losing our history because people like you see racism in everything Southern.

Well, if the old flag gif is kept up as a political statement then I can deal with that just fine. That's actually what I'd guessed all along so if that's the deal then I'm OK with that.

I'm not from Georgia, so I can't speak for the people of Georgia, but I'd think for consistency's sake we oughta have the current flag of each state on the board. Not a past flag that just happens to appeal to some (or even many).

Anything to cause trouble for FR. I have trouble believing you are concerned about the current Georgia state flag shown on FR so much as you are hoping to draw attention to the fact to the detriment of FR.

I haven't seen that one. Where can I get one?Off the back of any number of pick-ups. Of course - you'll be taking your life in your hands. ;-)

I suppose any manner of historical US flag, displayed on holidays, would get the same attention. Perhaps, the "old" flag on FR is an oversight. I'm certain JimRob will clear it up in short order.

I did a search for animated gifs of State flags. Alas, the only one I could find for Georgia is the original flag.
I can do cute and paste graphics but creating that wind in the flag affect is beyond my talent.

Yep, I guess that's what needled me a tiny bit whenever I saw it. I didnt know if it was an oversight or not, but I didnt want to make an issue of it either..
I recall thinking if it ever came up and I noticed that I would mention something about it, and now by stunning coincidence here I am!! =)

Because there's no "Political Correctness Police" busting everyone's chops to change it.
Are you volunteering for the job?
