Kerry is absolutely vile. FYI, Kerry's fave food is ChocChipCookies.

P.S. In the strict mode, it blocks pretty much everything. You have to temporarily disable it if you want to let something open a new window via a javascript, and reenable it afterwards, but that's one click each.

Smart Popup Blocker is FREE and can intelligently kill those unsolicited pop-up, pop-under ads. I've used it in conjunction with the Google Toolbar with no problems. Pop Up Blocker Test is also worth a look. Be sure to see my previous post in this thread about detecting and removing spyware.

We get NO pop-ups using both Stopzilla and the Google pop-up blocker. We run Spy-Bot search and destroy once a week and have Norton anti-virus software running at all times.

Maybe people will get sick of them and vote for Bush.

I've noticed the same problem with Hanoi John messages on a conservative Anglican group on Yahoo I frequent.

They must think all Episcopalians/Anglicans are flaming left-wingers. Unfortunately. these are orthodox Christians who are outraged by the ECUSA's slide into the abyss. Not many Kerry supporters there, I would wager.

I use Mozilla for all my browsing now, except for one site that only wants to work with IE. No IE, no pop-ups.

I belong to a Yahoo group and I see those ads when I visit it, but I don't consider them "Pop-Up" ads. They're just ads on whatever page you're visiting. My Mozilla browser doesn't consider them pop-ups either or I wouldn't be seeing them. And just for the record, there is one ad that is PRO-President Bush. To my knowledge, both the F'n ads and the Bush ads are paid for by the respective campaigns.

I really don't like Yahoo anyway. That's one reason I switch from cable modem to SBC DSL because of their affiliation with Yahoo.

Whoops. Left out a vital word in my sentence.

That's one reason I won't switch...

I haven't seen those Kerry Campaign popups but then again I minimize my use of Yahoo and some other sites that resort heavily to popups.

I have seen some shameless popups asking "Do you support Bush in the 2004 election? Answer and receive $50" (some of these I've seen on Drudge's site).

Some are just a come-on designed to generate a click through.

The Kerry Campaign has been bumping up their ads in Google searches though and they recently hired the scumbag who ran GWBush.com (an illegal election site he claimed was a parody). Expect a LOT MORE dirty tricks this campaign season.

Maybe we could get this used as a popup:

John Kerry's photograph is featured in the War Protestors Hall of the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City -- a clear indication of the value the Vietnamese communists place on Kerry's support of their efforts during the Vietnam War. The photograph was received in response to a general request last week for information documenting Kerry's activities on behalf of the enemy

Kind of odd when the Kerry Scampaign is running 2-to-1 ads against the other guy. Still haven't given Americans a reason they should vote for a traitor who is also a confessed war criminal.

To clarify, 2 negative-candiate ads to 1 pro-candidate ad.

BUMP... I agree.

Check 'FireFox' browser from http://www.mozilla.org

...Pop-ups do NOT have to be a problem anymore, even for 'non-techies'.
