My husband and I went to the 2001 Inauguration. We felt we needed to go, to be "bodies for Bush," as we put it when we showed up for events faithfully in 2000.

I hope we win by a decisive margin this time so it isn't spoiled like the last one was by all the rancor. The media is trying hard to make it another cliffhanger, however.

Media is making it very difficult for me to keep a Christian thought in my head....

One of the best ways everyone can help during this election is to sign up to be "poll observers". I was one during the 2002 election and I cannot tell you how many illegal votes I (plus 2 others who worked with me) stopped. We didn't stop all of them, but in the one precinct, we stopped no less than 300. That precinct had a little over 2,000 voters, so that was quite a few. We need as many observers as we can get at ALL precincts, especially those that are considered "trouble spots".
