President Bush Gives "Rummy" a Standing Ovation!!

What a great "spontaneous" moment!! I hope you all got to see the ovation Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld got today at the ampitheater of Arlington National Cemetary.

When his name was announced, the crowd went abolutely wild!! The screamed, cheered, whistled, & stomped their feet. The look on Rummy's face was priceless, but.....the BEST part was when the President stood and gave Rummy a standing ovation. The crowd went NUTS!! And so did I. I found myself standing in front of the T.V. applauding, and giving Rummy a standing "O" along with the President. It was a great moment, and it touched Rummy deeply. If y'all missed the moment, I'm sure FOX will replay it!!

Got to love President Bush standing with Rummy. I still wonder what Clinton did to make Bush 41 push him at the WW2 celebration on Saturday. Do any of you know what that was about?

I did see Secretary Rumsfeld receive his utterly fabulous ovation from that crowd and I was more than pleased for him. He deserved it and I thank the people in attendance who supplied it. What liberals and the liberal media simply do not understand, or if they do, they refuse to acknowledge it, is that our military love and respect him and the American people love and respect him and are grateful he's our Secretary of Defense. And it was very classy of President Bush to stand and applaud Secretary Rumsfeld.

I think the point is they DO know what a "strong, civilian military leader" he is. He's too good for their liking and helps the President.

I hope that this is a sign that Dubya gets it. Whenever the shrill voices of the left rise with an insane diatribe, like these calls for resignation, Dubya needs to respond with more than just "No, I'm sticking with him." He also needs to chide them for their foolishness and hysteria. 'Course, maybe he does and Rather Clueless keeps that clip off the air.

Not the Bush style. Why add more fuel to the fire? He just shows class and keeps on doing his job and lets the others do the fussin' and chidin'. It works because then we have to get mad and fight for them.

I just caught the tail end - the media was showing Clinton trying and pushing to stand as close as he could to Sr. Bush and get in the picture & that was shown from two angles. At first I didn't recognize Clinton, he has lost a lot of weight - then as he tried once more to hog the spotlight, there was sort of a shove. Bill Clinton is so disrespectful; so undignified and just right down rude and I don’t give a whit if he was the president between the Bushes, he was never America’s president, just VIP for foreign interest, the United Nations and the DNC.

Speaking of Al and Tipper....I had read an article about these two back during Clinton's first four years in office and it wasn't flattering in the least. Apparently Disney had loaned Al and Tipper two costumes for Halloween. Tipper was "Beauty" and Al was the "Beast" from the Disney movie "Beauty and the Beast". Somehow, these two had forgotten to return the two costumes when they were done with them and Disney had a fit. I don't recall if they actually ended up returning them, or paying to have new ones made....I just remember thinking how utterly arrogant they were to pull a stunt like that.

That is a good possibility. The media, especially Dan Blather, does not want to say anything good about the President, his cabinet, the war, or the good being done in Iraq. I refuse to listen to him any more ...... in fact, the only national news I listen to is Fox.
