Would you have told the Nazis that there were Jews in your attic? Some vengeful deity you have there, that forbids lying to representatives of the devil himself.
To answer your first question, no. Your second question is nonsense.
Telling Nazi's that htere are no Jews in my attic is very different then telling Arabs that I am not a Christian.
But then, you must not be a Christian, or else you'd understand.
Lying about jews in the attic is one thing, denying one's christian faith is another. Yes, I would lie to the nazis about hiding jews, but I would not lie to them about my faith in Christ.
Maybe the following story is "urban legend," maybe not:
I heard that once a person in an occupied country was asked if he had anything to say. The person said, "Oh, by the way, we have Jews upstairs." He really WAS hiding Jews, but the way he said it made the Nazis think he was being sarcastic, so they left without checking.
No doubt.
Is what it ACTUALLY says in the Bible is you "shall not bare false witness against thy neighbor,"
You'd really have to strech that to damn this guy. And is isn't that guy's damn right to damn anybody as far as I'm concerned. Let's leave that stuff up to God.
