To All: If i were in that situation, the first thing that would come to my mind is the verse in Matthew that several have referenced here.

I hope and pray that i would be strong enough to honor it. I was not judging the Jordanian. I feel tremendously sad for what happened over there.

Well, if the guy actually repented, then he'd be formerly-formerly-Christian. But who said anything about claiming to know more than God?

No. One can lose his salvation, as referenced in Revelations when Jesus talks of "removing one's lampstand from its place" and "erasing their name from the lamb's book of life". It could be argued that Judas was saved at one point but..well..look what happened to him.

That is why I'm very careful when I post. As previously posted, "be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." That scripture has some context, too! Matthew 10:16 "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents and as harmless as doves." This is good advice from the Good Shepherd.

Well --- Jesus could forgive him --- but this man will always need to live in fear now --- he might have become a Muslim for a few minutes to save his life, but once a Muslim, always a Muslim --- they can kill him now for trying to change back to Christianity. It's the death penalty for any who try to leave that religion.
