he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was naive enough to trust people erroneously?

Well --- it's sort of like going into a cage with angry pitbulls who have already been known to attack, no the dogs should not maul you but it might not be wise to in there with them.

The only way we can continue to enjoy our freedoms and liberties here in the CONUS ,that these sorts strive to destroy ,is clearly to rely on capable citizens who encounter their attempts to harvest human life as they act. I have noted that alot of the CHL "official" state web sites have posted the numbers of CHL's issued per zip code. An intel gold mine for a wolf seeking easy access to the sheep IMHO. Why in the world would a bunch of murdering islamic cowards target Baddass City Texas when Soft'n Chewyville Maryland is around.

Awesome numbers of armed alert citizens who can sound the alarm via a cellular and be a thorn in the ass of terrorist as they act while reporting to 911 operator that a 9-11 event is in progress as they secure their position with a 1911A1 is again IMHO the best thing local LEO's can hope for when such a organized effort to kill is upon our nation. At some point America is going to have to trust it's citizens again. If not ......we stand to lose it all. We have to stop trying to save the world while we lose the United States.

Just my rant on the matter........Stay Safe Ya'll !

"Do I really give a rat's ass if Iraqi prisoners were embarrassed, nay, even humiliated?"

Not one person I know was "offended" by the humiliation of the Iraqi prisoners. I guess these animals can go on slitting people's throats, knowing the consequences they face in prison are ZERO...

We should all email Fox News and ask that they report the method of execution for the 9 hostages. The viewers need to understand the barbarism of the terrorists. The media emphasizes the abuses at Abu Ghraib endlessly and deemphasizes the true atrocities committed the Islamic terrorists.

And the $64 question is, will the murder of innocent hostages bump panty-heads off the NYT front page?

No, it is very easy when you don't really give a rat's rear about the hostages to storm in and get the whole thing off the front page ASAP. It is the right way to deal with hostage takers. But the reason they do it the right way is not great moral courage and principle. Human life is simply so cheap, it isn't even hard.

One of the 'techniques' taught at Salman Pak, according to someone trained there, was the idea of slitting a few throats of hostages or airline passengers, to insure the fearful cooperation of those left alive. It sounds like these Qaeda thugs/murderers were trained at Salman Pak. When the lists of names of persons trained there and from which countries is leaked out, will it embarrass the democrats claiming no ties between al Qaeda and Saddam? Hardly ... the democrats are consummate liars and will lie their way out of culpability for their seditious crap.

I had to run to Wally World this morning before church, it is only about a mile from here. While there at about 9:00 AM on a Sunday I thought about how vulnerable the shoppers there were. They seemed to be half asleep and just meandoring through the store. Personal Situational Awareness is a must for survival.

A little condition yellow paranoia is a good thing these days.......nothing wrong with taking a few spare magazines for the 1911A1 and tossing the old Garand in the trunk w/ a few extra clips too. Knowledgeable, trained, armed citizens are an asset of a nation not a burden.

Stay Safe SLB !

Wish I had a Garand to toss in the trunk. My dream! For now, I settle for a M70 .243 as weapon of choice for that situation. Groups the size of a quarter for me from a bench rest. Over the hood/top of a car it would make someone take notice of keeping their heads down.

Condition dark yellow is probably where we are now. Can't be too aware and alert. Stay alert and you will more than likely stay alive.

Wasn't there a 'cease fire' called for Ramalamadingdong?
.. to prevent 'offending' ... 'ethnic Albanians'
And it was actually ordered and obeyed?

Is that a duck I hear?

If they hit our city I'd call it 'urban renewal.' They probably won't hit here though because this towns full of democrats sympathetic to their cause.
