I sent the story/link to my father-inlaw, an engineer with a Ph.d in nuclear physics and who used to be in charge of a nuke power plant for many years until his retirement from the power company. This guy personally knew both Oppenheimer and Teller. He was in London about ten years ago and just "casually" dropped in to see Steven Hawking, who saw him without an appointment. He's not so mobile now and often forgets to check his e-mail for ummmm months at a time, lol. But I'll let you know what he says.
