"I expect no less of the terrorists."

Don't give them any credit by comparing them to special forces. These guys are animals with very little military training. The AQ tapes of "house clearing" exercises taking place are amateur hour in the extreme. The guys in my IDPA club would clean their clocks based on that footage. And trust me, SF is the best of the best. It's easy to kill yourself and thus take a lot of innocent folks with you without warning. But stand toe to toe with real professionals? Naaaaaaaah that's why they resort to terrorism.

I grant you that September 11th was a well planned event, but it wasn't really planned by the bozos that actually carried it out. Yeah, they learned to handle an aircraft in flight which is not that tough (I once "handled" a C141 Starlifter in the same manner at the invitation of the pilot).

Just remember: Barbarism does NOT equal training.

509th Infantry to ship out Friday

By staff reports

Fort Polk -- The 1st Battalion (Airborne), 509th Infantry Regiment, will hold a deployment ceremony for the Soldiers of Alpha and Bravo Companies Friday, June 11th at 10 a.m. outside of battalion headquarters, on the corner of 15th Street and Mississippi Ave.

The approximately 200 Soldiers of the Alpha and Bravo Companies will deploy in the coming weeks to the Central Area of Command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The 509th, or Geronimo as they are known, is one of the Army's most elite units -- a parachute infantry unit highly trained in all levels of combat.

Its full-time mission is portraying the opposing forces for all those who train at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk. The 509th has not seen combat since World War II, although five members were selected to serve as Pathfinders, or advance scouts, for the 101st Airborne Division during the 1991 Gulf War.

Their helicopter was shot down during a search and rescue mission. Two were Killed In Action and one became a Prisoner of War.

Since the Gulf War, The JRTC and the 509th have helped train more units that eventually deployed for worldwide missions than any other training center. The ceremony is open to the public.

My fear on the terrorist training, comes from the numbers of them that we have trained as our Military and the guest training that has been allowed on our bases.

I am very willing for you to be correct and am sure that you are.

You walked that mile as a Soildier and I have only read about it. I do thank you.
