"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia - Tens of American, European and other hostages were released Sunday and a gunman believed to be the lead Islamic militant holding them was arrested, a Saudi security official said, adding that two other gunmen were "in the process of being arrested."
We are the "Stotters" who make ourselves aware of the enemy who wishes to do us harm
I hope you get feeling better. . .
It does come quite quick at this point (after being confused by the seemingly 4 million conjugations for each verb/verb form). I wish I had Satellite TV, I would love to watch some of the Arabic news stations (I do watch clips from al-Jazeera online). I have several sites with movies, etc. that I watch from time to time just to hear some dialogue. I also, of course, try to catch any audio/viedo I can from sites of interest, such as NEIN (you are involved with NEIN correct?). I am much better at reading/writing than speaking at this point, I think its because I have fairly limited experience in speaking/listening.
Where did you learn in full immersion? I am still trying to figure out my best bet for next summer after I graduate, and before Grad School. My prime candidate at this point is to enroll in the Middlebury School in VT. It is a 9 week immersion program (I figure it will go well to solidify my 2 yrs of learning by that point). I would really rather go to the ME. Unfortunately, I cannot convince my parents that it is safe even though I have been told by numerous people it is.
Yes, that was me, except the location was Jerusalem, GA.
I'm seeing a pattern of little "things" happening around U.S. towns with ME names.
If it's so super secret, then how do they know it's today? LOL!
Thanks JP. I could not imagine anything better than working for "us" in some way/shape/form!
Ajeeb programmed to removed phrases...hmmm.
I hope you'll get a chance to post your translation when you have verified. Thanks!
What is/was "Operation Meteor"?
I thought that was the name of a computer game.
As soon as I get it verified I will post - I should have confirmation within an hour or so.
On Ajeeb, I've tested that out and they have what appears to be the equivalent of comment codes, like in computer programming. If these delimiters are placed before and after phrases, the phrases/word inside the delimiters is not translated.
No joke. I'm serious.
A Cuban Exercise just completed.
I've never given it much thought until now, but there are so many cities named after ancient cities.
Philadelphia comes to mind as well. ;-)
Nice find.
, sources said that U.S. ships in Mideast ports had been sent to sea for security reasons.
Also done with the US Fifth Fleet based in Bahrain in August 2001!

Al-Qaeda statement says high oil prices in Muslims' interest
Fri Jun 04 2004 11:15:04 ET
A purported Al-Qaeda statement claimed Friday that high oil prices, which were pushed up further by last weekend's deadly attacks on foreign oil workers in Saudi Arabia, were "in the interests of Muslims".
"The rise in oil prices is in the interests of the Muslim people," said the message attributed to Abdul Aziz al-Muqrin, who was identified as "the chief of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula".
It added that the attacks on the oil-producing Saudi city of Al-Khobar "has placed the Saudi government in an impasse with the surge in oil prices which hit a record of 42 dollars a barrel."
The statement also denounced "the tyrants" who "plunder the wealth of Muslims."
It was posted on the website www.qal3ah.org and its authenticity could not be verified.
The spike in prices to record highs this week was partly driven by the attacks on Al-Khobar in the kingdom's Eastern Province in which 22 people were killed.
