Moslem cleric in England says killing non-Moslems is OK By: John Russell | Source: IRN NEWS May 27, 2004 5:29PM EST

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A leading Muslim teacher in the United Kingdom is telling his followers that the killing of non-Moslems is in accordance with Islamic teachings. Shiek Abu Hamsa of the notorious Finsbury Park Mosque in London has been videotaped telling his congregation that, “If a Kafir (that is a non-Moslem)is walking by you and you catch him he’s booty (that is a slave), you can sell him in the market. Most of them are spies. And even if they don’t do anything, if Moslems can not take them and sell them in the market, you just kill them, its OK.” Hamsa went on to say that that Americans are especially worthy of death.

No, I'm just an old newshound. Have loved current events since high school. Haven't read Durant, though. Did they say anything about this situation we find ourselves in; i.e., being so foolish as to allow enemies in our midst?

I haven't read them either.

But I have read about a quote of there's regarding Love. I'll have to Google for it. An incredible statement from the whole of their studies--reducing all their studies to one sentence, as I recall.

Anyone else know it?

OMGosh . . . Just looked up 'newshound' to make sure I was using it correctly. I wasn't. A newshound is 'an aggressive or energetic journalist,' according to dictionary.com. I thought a newshound was also someone who was interested in the news. That's all I am, definitely not a journalist! :-(

Has anyone seen even an attempt to explain this lapse in prosecuting incitement to murder? Aren't there laws against this? Even in England?

Sorry, I should have noticed that mistake in sending it to myself.

Regarding Dresden.... "if your goal is to bring peace and democracy and safety and human rights to the world..."
Well, the goal of Dresden was to terrify the population. It wasn't to end the war. Your remarks fit dropping the atomic bomb, but I don't think they fit Dresden. The ends don't always justify all the means.
But thanx for your answer.

Dresdon was only last of German cities to die such ways: Hamburg, Berlin, Weisburg, Shwinfurt, Weisbaden, Stuttgart, Heidleburg, Munchin, etc...all suffer same bombings. All aim not at industry center but apartment/civilian center.

There's another thread out there saying the Brits are becoming intolerant of Islam. Hmmm . . .

I have been to US, seen in New York whole muslim areas...it is stupid statement you make, it is Islamics who do not assimulate...otherwise loose control of next generation

it is Islamics who do not assimulate...

There are millions of these non assimulated in Europe.

Are the 5 to 6 million Muslims in France or the huge number of Turks in Germany allowed to become citizens of their countries, I don't think so. Citizenship in these countries means a whole lot. Unable to enjoy the full benefits of the countries they live in only brews resentment in the long run. If you dissagree I'm sorry.

I was not referring to people merely living in the same area, for example a New York neighborhood.

By the way if Mr. Putin is so great(and I didn't say he wasn't) for you WHY has he found it necessary to eliminate all pretense of a free press. Without a free press you have no real freedom because you will only know what the government wants you to know. The western media makes me crazy at times but they are the basis of holding leaders accountable.

By the way, you joined FR on my birthday April 18, a great day in history(my history.)Humor

Free press, you mean, like fact that government owns only 1 of 4 major networks, which it took in bankruptcy and is now in negotiation with Murdoch for sale? Sorry but BBC is all government owned. Also what, 10 news papers out of hundreds owned by government? US/EU socialist press much more untruthful and special interest controlled.

As for accountability, much more criticism of Putin in one week then in 3 months of Bush in US television. And consider that under Clinton absolutely no criticism...

Well, happy late birthday.

Sorry but BBC is all government owned.

I'm in the U.S. It's TOTALLY different. In my home we have several hundred cable TV stations. There is a HUGE amount of variety. The govt. doesnt own ANY of them.

As for accountability, much more criticism of Putin in one week then in 3 months of Bush in US television.

How do you know that? A recent analysis of our 3 major network news outlets found that in the 1st 3 months of this year 100% of their stories regarding Bush were negative in some way. That's not 99% it's 100%. That's incredible, even by our liberal media standards. They want Bush out.

And consider that under Clinton absolutely no criticism...

I'm sure he would disagree. It was the press that uncovered the Monica scandal. It led to Clinton lying "under oath" and being impeached. He was only the second U.S. President to be impeached. We have a new President every 4 or 8 years. That's quite amazing that you would think the press was so kind to him. He acted so wrecklessly they couldn't ignore it.

Well, happy late birthday

Thank you very much. It makes us Free Republic soulmates.:)
