finally makes sense.
Great post. I was wondering about this. It's respectful that Moore let the family handle the footage. Maybe he's got a little good in him after all... or not.
He's not "anti-war" -- He's anti-American.
At least David Berg is honest enough to say Nick wasn't about helping the Bush Administration.....but just WAIT til David finds out Moore used Nick as either a cameraman/reporter or "bugger". He won't be thinking Moore is such a class act!
something about this is making little red flags pop up in my mind. can't put my finger on it yet, but... there is something really really bad in this Berg-Moore connection.
"Moore said he had considered using some of the footage in his film but that it got edited out, David Berg said."
Yep - a class act all right! He did use some of the footage that got edited out.
I still think this is a very strange coincidence that the 1 guy Fatso's crew interviewed got his head sawed off. Just wondering WHY they picked him. I think the 'supporting Bush' is so much BS. Also wondering what Fatso's connection with the enemy really is.
How did Michael Moore find out about Nicholas Berg's pending trip in the first place?
So Nick Berg may have been a marked man before he ever left the US for Iraq. Fingered by Michael Moore. Word was flashed on ahead, sacrificial lamb coming your way, he hasn't got a clue as to what's in store. Sounds like a set up to me.
When it comes to Michael Moore and his motives, read every one of them with as malice as you can. Michael has no compunctions about the exaggeration of anybody else's agenda, so he is probably comparing what other people do with what he would be doing in the same situation.
What did Michael know, and when did he know it?
And HTF do you know that? This girlyboy is daddy's favorite.
The whole thing is still fishy. Why did he interview Nick Berg? Presumably because his leftist father suggested it. My reading of Nick Berg is that he was confused and conflicted. Moore cut the footage not from respect but because he didn't get what he was after, some sort of violent condemnation of Bush by a young guy whom he expected to be a Peace Corps leftist who could be portrayed as selflessly helping the poor, persecuted Muslim Iraqis.
As for why he showed the footage to the family, I think the answer is more publicity. Here we are with yet more publicity in the news media about this sleazy film. He could have sent them a private copy; instead he made a public show of it.
Free advertising. Moore is an expert at getting face time with the media.
Why did it take so long for any of us to hear about this interview and tape, including apparently his family? It's all connected to the movie and his big win in France...self-promotion, and no class-act humanitarian for sure. Those words don't fit in the same sentence as the name Micheal Moore.
Michael Moore is a lot of things, but a "class act" ain't one of them.
One too many coinkydinks for me.
This has got to be one of the lowest publicity stunts Moore has ever engaged in. I am skeptical about the authenticity of the tape. Though if true it just makes the case of Nick Berg more bizarre. Coincidence or not.
Unfortunately, the left is like the Moose Limbs in the way they circle the wagons and protect their own, no matter how wrong. (Hence the phrase, "thick as thieves.")
It may be years before someone finally speaks the truth about this whole sordid mess.
"Michael Moore has really been a total class act with this whole thing,"...
Yep. Nothing says "class" like that blubbering, blithering, foaming, sweaty, foul, hideous insane hairy pig, Michael Moore.
The only reason Moore didn't use the footage is that he can't figure out a way to spin it against the Bush Administration. If Berg had said something like "I have to fix these telephone wires because of the idiotic lack of planning from the Chimp in the White house", it would have been front page news on the NYT from day 1.
As it is, "these people need help and I'm glad to do my part" doesn't sell leftist agitprop. Which is strange, when you consider how many decades / centuries they've been yammering on about helping the little guy.
""Michael Moore has really been a total class act with this whole thing"
Well, Dane, that pretty much tells us where the Berg's mindset is.
Thanks for posting.
