I had the same question. We need to construct a timeline regarding Nick's disappearance/death and the film coming out. How much time would it take to edit out any footage of Nick? Would there have been time, between his death and the film's showing at Cannes?

I'm in production so I know. There would definitely be time to edit out any material from the film- I remember Moore was boasting of his editing/finishing up a few weeks before Cannes. Plus he was using his own personal editing station...as it is very easy these days.

I believe only a portion was shown at the Cannes festival.

The time-line would, in my opinion, show that some of the conspiracies regarding Moore aren't true, and I hate the guy.

Moore wasn't still looking for tape at the time Berg was killed. The film was done, and just waiting for Cannes. So Berg wasn't with the terrorists to get something for Moore.

Berg may have worked for Moore, but I doubt he was by the time he died, because Moore wouldn't have needed him.
