Democratic challenger John Kerry charged on Friday that President Bush undermined America's safety by having "rushed off to war" in Iraq without adequate help or "a plan to win the peace." "I believe that the Bush administration -- and I say this carefully and thoughtfully ... made America less safe, not more safe, with their blustery arrogant foreign policy," Kerry said at town hall meeting with military veterans and family members. "I believe our troops are in greater danger today, exposed to more gun fire and more mortar attacks and more ambushes than they had to be if we had done what common sense dictates ... which is to build alliances and share the responsibilities," Kerry said.
Kerry made the comments as he touted his proposed new national security strategy, unveiled the day before in Seattle, to forge a coordinated global alliance against terror and end what he has described as Bush's divisive bullying tactics. He plans two more speeches in the next week to further outline his foreign policy, which up to now has shown little major deviation from Bush's. On Iraq, they share plenty of common ground although Kerry vows to set a different tone than Bush. "We rushed off to war without an adequate plan, without adequate supplies ... without a plan to win the peace," Kerry said.
Yet Kerry, who backed the congressional resolution authorizing Bush to use force in Iraq, had no snap answer when a woman asked: "What do you plan to do to bring our troops home?" Kerry said he could not predict what the situation would be in Iraq on Jan. 20, 2005, when he would be inaugurated as president if he beats Bush in the November election. But he said, "I'm going to get our troops home as fast as possible with honor and the job accomplished in the way it needs to be."
RALLY INTERNATIONAL HELP
But Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt said, "John Kerry's political attacks ignore the fact that Kerry voted against the $87 billion supplemental that included pay raises for our troops, gave them better health care and sent them essential equipment including body armor."

You mean he voted FOR rushing into war before he voted AGAINST rushing off to war?
How nuanced.
Would you rather have him stand around and soil a sink in the WH? kerry is a p*ssy.
This country is doomed. How long can we keep these @ssholes at bay?
After 12 years of Iraq continued to ignore the UN resolutions, then we gave Saddam another extra six months to come clean and he didn't, then we "rushed" into war.

"Unilateral" "arrogant" "blustery arrogant foreign policy"
Each Kerry synonyms for "not sufficiently appreciative of French financial interests" and "not submissive enough to Chirac"
"Allies" for Kerry means "France" or "France and Germany"
You will not find, ever, Kerry say the word "France" other than in code.
'Subliminable' swipe at Limbaugh?
See post #22. This is the lasting affect of J-Off Slickmeister. Thanks for nothing everyone that voted this slime into office. Now kerry wants to relive the legacy.
ROFLMAO!!!
my tagline
This is so funny, should it be posted as its own thread?
STATEMENT OF SENATOR JOHN KERRY
RE: COMMENCEMENT OF MILITARY STRIKES IN IRAQ
Thursday, March 20, 2003
WASHINGTON, DC Senator John Kerry issued the following statement in response to the commencement of military strikes in Iraq:
It appears that with the deadline for exile come and gone, Saddam Hussein has chosen to make military force the ultimate weapons inspections enforcement mechanism. If so, the only exit strategy is victory, this is our common mission and the worlds cause. We're in this together. We want to complete the mission while safeguarding our troops, avoiding innocent civilian casualties, disarming Saddam Hussein and engaging the community of nations to rebuild Iraq.

BTW, who's Kerry to call someone "Blustery" and "arrogant"?
He might have some good qualities, but lack of bluster and arrogance are not among them.
"We rushed off to war without an adequate plan, without adequate supplies ... without a plan to win the peace," Kerry said."
He should also add, "and I voted FOR IT, before I was against it."
LOL!! Gay Hitler!! That is great!! :)
I see John Kerry is playing politics with the Vietnam War. I wonder why there are not any mainstream press "hit pieces" on this blatant use of that war for politics by the Frenchy.
Those pics should be stacked...you get the picture. :)
