It just said "A friend and fellow council member - Ahmad Kuba of Florida - said yesterday that Aziz left for Baghdad last summer, before any deportation proceedings began."

I agree that this is the area that is most likely to give us something.

Something that bothered me was Aziz saying that he was always telling Nick to keep a low profile, but Nick refused. It sounded like there might be a bit of tension there.

Then Aziz says he was the last person to talk to Nick:

"Aziz said that on April 10 Berg "surprised me by calling me at 9 or 10, to say that he found some friend to travel with to Jordan." Berg said he was en route, but Aziz doesn't know who he was with or what kind of vehicle they were driving. "He said they were nice people. I told him to have a nice trip.""

I wonder if these were the people arrested?
And he was/is? monitoring the final cell-phone calls of Nick.

"He said this weekend he understands Berg's phone was used as recently as April 19, and that three calls were made that day to Jordan, to the United Arab Emirates and to a local number."

I hate to cast suspicion on Aziz if he was really a good friend to Nick, but if we're looking in certain directions... I think you're right to look that way.

And I would bet that Nick's dad had a mutual or direct acquaintance with Moore, and that was how Moore found Nick to interview. If Nick was pro-war, maybe his dad hoped Nick would change his mind.. I dunno.

Thanks. I forgot about a couple of those. I'm not convinced Berg was pro-Bush, and I'm not convinced Aziz was ever on "our side" either. Call me a skeptic... but I'm leaving both on the fence. LOL.

what do I find when looking into Nick Berg's business partner, Mr. Aziz? He ran a website Tridish.com.
