The principal has now admitted her staff did not call police, did not interview potential witnesses, and did not conduct a proper investigation.

Years ago, when my daughter was in middle school a boy reached under her skirt as she was stepping onto the bus. He grabbed a handful of her crotch.
She decked him.
I was called to the school and informed she was banned from the bus and might be suspended for the assault. When I arrived at the office there was a good sized kid setting near the door - bloody nose and a good shiner starting. Jennifer looked very mad. I asked her what happened and she told me, the boy confirmed it.
As the vice principal approached I asked to see the police report.
“Well, I don’t think we have to bring the police into this.”
I went off. I told him I would call the police myself. He couldn’t understand, thinking I wanted to report that Jennifer assaulted the boy.
“You mean this punk sexually assaulted my daughter and you condone it? I’ll be damned!” “Sir, there is never any excuse for physical violence.” After we had a not-so civil talk, it was decided not to suspend her from the bus or school. I figured the punk having his butt beat - painfully - by a girl was enough. I told her there in the office that if it happened again I would expect him to be hospitalized.

It amazes me that some adults are the equivalent of pro wrestling "referees" -- no one allowed to defend him/her self, and no excuse for any reaction to an assault.

Next time, your daughter may feel compelled to eliminate that punk's breeding capabilities.

I tell my daughter (9yo) that if ANY boy regardless of age ever touches or hits her that she has my permission to punch him as hard and as repeatedly as needed.

Your story is eerily similar to mine. My daughter didn't hit the boy, but instead complained to her teacher. When the teacher refused to intervene, she called me.
I called the school to report the incident and was put off by the staff at the front desk.
When I arrived they had my daughter in custody, watched over by a security officer (rent-a-nazi). I demanded to speak to the principal. She declined, so I barged into her office. I explained (in one of those Clint Eastwood quiet voices) that she had one opportunity to do the right thing. I told her that I insisted that the boy be suspended from school for the assault (and recommended expulsion). I demanded that she get the little perverts parents into the office toot sweet so that I could face them directly. I didn't give them a choice on whether or not to involve the cops - I called them myself. And I told the little punk that if I ever heard of him touching my daughter again, he would lose the use of that appendage permanently.
The principal was beside herself (scared sh!tless) because I laid all of this out in a calm monotone voice that dripped with earnestness.
And I followed it with "And if you can't take care of this, I will".

I cannot believe they condone sexual assault. Are there no pamphlets in the office, nurses office, or the counseling office about date rape, sexual violence etc? UNREAL !!!! I'm sure he supported clinton too.. ((put some ice on it..)) I just don't have patience like that..That princiPAL needs to lose his job..because I can guarantee you that your daughter won't be the last victim under his/her reign.

My Dad had a similar argument with another father when I was in High School. I broke a boys nose after he gave me a pinch on my breast. The boy's father called my dad demanding that we pay for medical expenses. After a few nasty verbal exchanges the father apologized after his son admitted to deserving the punch. To be honest, I was aiming for his eye and missed.
