The FBI, IRS and INS were all involved in this morning's raid. The Counter-Terrorism Task Force raided a home and a mosque in Northeast Philadelphia on Wakeling Street.
It happened at the home of 45-year-old Muhammad Gurab and his family. He is an Egyptian national who came to the U.S. 4 years ago and started a mosque.
The man's wife, Meriem Moumen, tells Action News they were on their way to drop their daughter off at school when the police pulled up behind them with the lights flashing and demanded that the family get out of the car.
She tells Action News that the agents brought them back to their home and the mosque and searched through both buildings. Agents kept asking them where the guns and weapons were, she said, and where they get their money.
Sources tell Action News that the investigation does revolve around possible ties to terrorism, but the U.S. Attorneys Office says they can not yet comment on what happened in Northeast Philadelphia.
No charges have been officially filed, but the imam has been taken into custody for questioning about possible terror connections.
Action News has learned there were similar raids in other parts of the city. Tune in to Action New tonight starting at 5pm for the very latest.
Just rounding up and deporting illegal muslim aliens, would be a good start.
PS, got your freepmail..everyone is doing great here..how are you guys doing? If I'm correct, me thinks there is a congratulations on a graduation is in order? :)
One piece at a time.
Let's see. That would be because of Jimmy Carter's Nobel Prize winning peace process in 1979. Any more questions?
Well, why are we STILL giving Egypt. . . .
Smile...thanks, Kim. I'm still up finishing schoolwork. Yes, SB graduated with honors. Waiting to hear from one grad school before she makes any decisions. Has a couple of job possibilities, and was hired by my school system to teach some gifted middle schoolers how to make webpages this summer (week-long class, every day for 4 hours). So, she's doing well. Will mail you later! (sometime..grin...)
And never ever forget that Aiman Al-Zwahari, Bin Landen #2, is Mr. Islamic Brotherhood. He was in the U.S. in the 1990s with a fake passport, going around the country, setting up terror cells.
What is the allure of islam to prisoners?!?
I'm glad you asked. I've always wondered the same thing.
Yeah!
Now that is excellent news!!! I am so so happy for her..please give her my best!
Now that is scary scary stuff..
Best theory I've heard is that nobody messes with a muslim, because all his muslim brothers will get even. Indeed, they do a little better than even.
They also assure the prisoners it's not their fault they're in the clink; it's the corrupt American regime etc. They also provide strict rituals to adhere to. Unruly people need a regimen of some sort, quite often.
From a story at Philly.com..
The mosque - in a blue-collar neighborhood near the corner of Wakeling and busy Aramingo Avenue - is a sprawling one-story, cinder-block building formerly occupied by auto-repair operations, neighbors said. The building is surrounded by a 10-foot-tall chain-link fence topped with barbed wire.
Good point.
Obviously, we're paying them to "play nice" with Israel, aka extortion.
"Cool, hopefully there will be more such raids very soon."
It's about time we started cracking down on these mohammedan cells.
"What is the allure of islam to prisoners?!?"
Simple. Islam preys on hatred and revenge, and instructs its adherents that they can commit any crime or any violence and they are justified in doing so becuase it is for the furtherance of Allah's goal for the world (i.e., global mohammedan domination). They are taught that not only are they rewarded for their crimes, but they are reserved a high place of honor for committing them. Islam is tailor-made for criminals and psychopaths.
