This has nothing to do with the subject at hand, but I think of it every time I read about the Bly camp. We were looking at some recreation property around 1999 near Bly. Driving home, (Hwy 140, the only road in or out of there)there was a very nice vehicle in front of us, holding up traffic, going about 25 mph down the mountain into (east of)Klamath Falls. This went on for 15 or 20 minutes, the guy just wouldn't get out of the way or move ahead at a reasonable speed. Finally we were able to pass the car, which had a diplomatic license plate and was full of Arab looking people (head wraps and all). I still wonder what they were doing out there in the middle of nowhere.
Your 1999 encounter might have been more of an encounter than you realized:

Okay, but a car with a diplomatic license plate? Unless some foreign diplomat was visiting the "ranch". ...it all seems rather unlikely. All I know for sure was this guy was arrogant and acted like he owned the entire highway. I remember making the smart a$$ comment..."Gosh, I didn't know there was an Arab embassy in Klamath Falls, Oregon". And heck, there may be...still, it was strange.
Strangers don't get into those remore areas by accident.

I have a stream that I fish below a dam. It is in the middle of no where. It is not a tourist stop. You have to be going to the lake, the dam, or below the dam to be there.
After 9/11 on some of my fishing trips, I would see rental cars on the parking lot by the dam with the turbaned ones and burka ones out taking pictures. I asked LEO friend about it.
He said to take a camera with me and stop at a safe distance and let these interlopers know that I had a camera and was taking pictures. I started carrying a camera, and all I had to do was stop in the parking lot and get out with that camera if the strange ones were there. They would pile into their rental car and take off.
I got a few other fly fishers to do the same. After a while we stopped seeing them. Little do the "visitors" know that my low priced camera wouldn't be that effective. :)
Hey, Gramps, O'reilly just had a gentleman on reporting Trey Arrow aka Michael Scarpetti of the Earth Liberation Front, has found his way to Canada and wants amnesty from his Eco-terror crimes. Seems he's in "holding" up there for a crime he committed after fleeing the US from FBI warrants. The reporter stated the FBI will be at a hearing tomorrow to attempt extradition back to the states.
I didn't find anything posted or printed about this yet. I hope the feds have their ducks in a line and get this little creep back here and give him what he deserves. I hope Canada uses some sense on this one.
BTW, Scarpetti picked Portland State University to recruit 3 of his flame throwing buddies. PSU must be easy pickin's....how many times have we seen that name come up?
Talking to some deputies about Tre I learned he may have been holed up in the home of some rich liberals on the Oregon coast before he left the country. I think his parents are leftist lawyers too. He hung out in the library in Manzinita Oregon. He had an aversion to soap.
I was hoping O'Reily would pick up on this guy.
I almost forgot. O'Reily had a guest talking about Mustafa and asked him "you sat across from this guy and EYEBALLED him". He said it twice. Maybe O was just trying to HOOK him into laughing. I did.

We have friends whose daughter is supposedly going to PSU because her grandmother went there.
I think that they are now wondering how innocent their daughter is. They are both very conservative, capitalistic and have their own businesses. They had asked me about PSU before she went up there, and I told them about it. At that time they thought that I over stated the left wing factions @ PSU. Recently, the husband/father said that I understated what was going on. They are ready to pull the financial plug on her.
She told them that if she couldn't go to PSU, that she would go to the university in Ashland or Cal Berkley. Her mother said that she could just pay her own costs for her final 2-3 years then.
Her mother told me that in two years, her daughter has become a full fledged watermelon. She was a Dean supporter and now supports Nader.

When I retired about 10 years ago, Manzinita was suggested as a possible retirement place. It took about 4 hours to figure out if we moved, we might be the only conservatives in town.
What was amazing was the number of very large, beautiful and expensive second homes owned by rich liberals from Portland in the area. The real estate lady who showed us some homes told us that we would barely see the neighbors as they came only a few weeks per year.
This was after discovering basically the same reality re the numbers of leftwing watermelons in Cannon Beach. I didn't know FBD, and he may be one of the few conservatives in that area.
Interesting how terrorists migrate to and are nourished and protected in liberal enclaves.

This Enviral Jihadist and others have been protected by liberals in Oregon, Washington and N California for years.
He was apparently seen and smelled in the little town of M., and none of the good citizens turned him into the FBI.

That would be laughable, if not so sad. I've seen it over and over. One friend of my son was the most level headed kid I ever knew. 2 years at OSU and he voted for Nadar. Last time he was here he was bragging about Al Franken, with his book in hand. He doesn't visit any more.......Another friend of my son's works for the Medford Mail Tribune and takes abuse, heckling like you would not believe, because he's "conservative".....they treat him like he's handicapped.
I just got a call from a younger relative.
Rush is now discussing Captain Hook and his relationship with the planned al Qaeda camp in Bly.
